What would it take to save million for retirement? Right now, more people than ever are 401k millionaires.Financial adviser Jonathan Duong says saving million is not as impossible as it may seem."A million dollars is very achievable for folks who aren't necessarily making really large six-figure incomes," Duong says.   The average 401k millionaire has been contributing to their retirement fund for over 30 years, according to MarketWatch.  So, how do you get to million in your 401k? Duong says there are a few easy ways.   First, defer over 10 percent of your paycheck to your 401k. Fidelity Investments says it might seem like a lot, but in the end, it should leave you with an annual income that you're use to once you retire.   Next, take advantage of your employer match."A match is free money," Duong says.   MarketWatch found 28 percent of the contributions to the average 401k millionaire's account came from their employer.   "Additional things you can do is working a little bit longer and delaying social security," suggests Duong.   Delaying Social Security until you’re in your 70's will allow you to get more money opposed to taking it sooner.   “It’s fairly good to say that if you've got 25 to 30 times your annual living expenses saved up, you might be in a position to retire, but there are a lot of other details that go into it," Duong explains.   There's no rule of thumb for how much everyone should save, Duong says. It all depends on your living expenses and how much it takes for you to live comfortably.   "In my mind, the ability to start today is really a reality for most people it's never too late," Duong says. 1756

When the ,200 stimulus payments came out earlier this year, parents were promised an additional 0 for each child they claimed as a dependent. Many low-income families didn’t receive that money, called Economic Impact Payments, because the stimulus checks were based on tax returns.Now, the IRS is trying to fix that, and is asking parents who did not file a 2018 or 2019 tax return to still go to their website and claim a dependent by September 30. The IRS has set up a non-filers tool to help.The non-filers site is designed for those with incomes below about ,400 for couples and ,200 for individuals, and others who are otherwise not required to file a tax return. Those people typically do not file a tax return, and therefore would not have a record with the IRS of any dependent children."Given the extremely high demand for EIP assistance, we have continued to prioritize and increase resource allocations to eligible individuals, including those who may be waiting on some portion of their payment. To help with this, we are allocating additional IRS resources to ensure eligible recipients receive their full payments during this challenging time,” said IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig.A news release on the IRS’ website also says they will be helping those who may have had part of their payments deducted because of past-due child support. When Sgt. Brian Maynard pulled over Laura and Jimmy Baker, he was preparing to deliver a ticket. Instead, the state trooper summoned an EMS team, which delivered the couple's baby girl on the side of North Carolina's US 64 highway.It all began Saturday night in suburban Raleigh when Laura Baker got in a minivan with her husband for a visit to the hospital to check on some contractions she'd been having. Then, 10 minutes into their drive, she suddenly went to labor."I said, 'I cannot control this, we're not going to make it there,'" Baker said.So when her husband spotted Maynard's patrol car, he did everything he could to get the officer's attention, speeding and flicking his lights."As soon as we pulled over, my water broke," Baker said. "And my husband jumped out with his arms up, saying, 'My wife's in labor and I really need help.'"All three knew they didn't have time to get to a hospital. Maynard called the EMS team in nearby Wendell but was prepared to do the job himself."I said, 'OK, well, we're going to do this right here, me and you,'" he told CNN affiliate WSOC.So Baker's husband and Maynard held the mother's hands and urged her to wait for the EMS team."My husband and the trooper were nervous, because they certainly weren't prepared," she said. And when the EMS team arrived, everyone realized they couldn't get Baker on a stretcher. So she delivered in the front seat of the van.It was this team -- as well as the trooper's assistance -- that Baker said she's most thankful for."Without them, I don't know how successful it would have been," she said. "It was maybe a five-minute experience, but a vital five-minute experience. [The EMS team] did everything to make sure it was sanitary and healthy."Baker was taking her baby, Halyn, home Monday and was planning on paying a visit to the EMS team that helped keep her infant daughter healthy throughout the delivery. She doesn't know much about the EMS crew, but she'll be looking for Charlie and Danny, who held her hands throughout the birth and walked her through every step."She was born outside in 40-degree weather, but she's a perfect, healthy little girl," she said. Wisconsin authorities are urging hunters to be on the lookout for clues related to missing 13-year-old Jayme Closs, whose parents were found fatally shot last month in their home."As hunting season opens on Saturday, we ask that hunters report anything suspicious such as clothing, weapons or anything you think it just not right on your property," the Barron County Sheriff's Department said this week in a statement.The bodies of Jayme's parents, James and Denise Closs, were discovered October 15 after a mysterious 911 call led deputies to their home in northwestern Wisconsin. No one spoke during the call, but the dispatcher heard yelling in the background.When the dispatcher called back, the call went to Denise Closs' voicemail. Police arrived to find the door kicked in, but Jayme was nowhere to be found, and investigators believe she was abducted and may be in danger.Thousands of people have joined search parties for Jayme, and the FBI is offering a reward of ,000 for information on her whereabouts.Investigators continue to follow up on leads, review recovered video from the area and explore digital evidence, authorities said."There is still hope in this department on this case, and the community support and prayers that we have been given continues to fuel our drive and determination to bring Jayme home," the sheriff's office statement said. 1375
