AURORA, Colo. -- Just as hundreds of restaurants are being forced to close down indoor dining, yet again, In-N-Out Burger made its debut in Colorado on Friday.Hundreds waited in line for hours to get a burger from the California-based fast-food chain.“It’s just a journey today,” said Charly, who came to relieve her dad who waited for three hours, but then had to go to work without making it to the front of the line.“Three or four hours wasn’t unexpected,” said Bob Fischer. “So, it’s definitely worth the wait.”Whether it was worth the wait depends on who you asked.But is it worth it? “No,” said Charly. “I don’t even eat beef. There’s char-broiled burger places everywhere,” said Juan Lopez. “And this is exactly the same way.”Lopez says Pulido’s prices are right on the money.“If you’re going to let me pick for lunch, I’m going to come here because this is a better deal,” Lopez said.The question is – what kind of dent will In-N-Out, coupled with another COVID-19 shutdown put in Pulido’s business.He, for one, believes he will survive.“In-N-Out, that’s going to hurt me a little bit, you know? Megan and Fadil Lee's love story started when the two were freshmen in college, and it may have ended there had Fadil not sent Megan a Facebook message 25 years later. “I was like, OK, is he single or married?” Megan recalls. After dating for a year and a half, the two married, and Fadil wanted to be a first-time father. Megan was on board, despite being 45 years old and already having two adult kids. “Let's face it; we're all living longer, you know,” Megan says. “And I don't think that age should be an inhibitor for you if you're in good health and you're in good shape. I think that those options should be available to you.”Dr. Paul Magarelli, who specializes in fertility for older women, agrees. “Now that we're living to 80, 90 and 100, the idea of a baby at 50 really is not that crazy,” he says. Dr. Magarelli is helping the couple conceive through IVF. “The uterus doesn't age; it’s a muscle. So, they've done successful IVF and women with donor egg up to age 74 and still got healthy babies,” Dr. Magarelli says. Megan is planning to use her own eggs, but the reality is most older women use frozen or donor eggs. “Once you reach the age of 44 and above the number of eggs that are available to make a baby are preciously few, so most families at some point will use donor eggs,” Dr. Magarelli says. There are significant risks for both mother and baby, including gestational diabetes, pregnancy-induced hypertension, as well as pregnancy loss. Babies also have a higher risk of chromosome abnormalities, such as Down syndrome. More than a hundred people in the Cleveland area are facing federal charges relating to crimes targeted under Operation Legend, according to an update from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.A total of 101 people have been charged. Of those, 59 people have been brought up on narcotics charges, authorities said. Thirty-eight people have been charged with firearm offenses, and four individuals have been charged with violent crimes.“Thanks to the hard work of all those involved in our collaborative law enforcement partnership, we have now charged over 100 defendants in Cleveland under Operation Legend,” said U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman. “Among those charged are career criminals, heroin and fentanyl traffickers, felons with rifles and other high-powered weapons, carjackers, bank robbers and many more. We will continue to pursue these violent criminals and drug traffickers until everyone in Cleveland can live safely and peacefully.”Operation Legend is a federal initiative that was rolled out in July across multiple cities in America, including Cleveland, targeting violent crimes.So far nation-wide, nearly 5,500 people have been arrested and more than 2,000 guns have been confiscated, authorities said.
