On Election Night, voters from around the country will sit on the couches, grab their iPads and start paying attention to the results. While we have already profiled why results will likely take awhile this year, perhaps no state is better situated to have delayed results than Pennsylvania. WHY PA RESULTS MAY TAKE WEEKSJoe Corrigan, a political consultant in Philadelphia, says with a record number of voters voting by mail, combined with state rules regarding when ballots can be counted, results will take time. "We are seeing about 10 to 15 thousand mail-in ballots requested a day (in Pennsylvania)," Corrigan said. These ballot requests are overwhelming elections offices across the state."Pennsylvania law prohibits county boards of elections from counting any absentee ballots or mail-in ballots until 8 p.m. on Election Day when polls close," Corrigan added. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled Thursday that ballots can arrive until 5 p.m. ET on the Friday after the election and still count. The ballots do have to be postmarked on or before Election Day to be counted.That doesn't even begin to take into account the state is using relatively new in-person voting machines. "I would very happy to know who won Pennsylvania by Thanksgiving," Corrigan said. WHAT IS BEING DONEElection officials know they have pending issues. In Bucks County, a suburban Philadelphia county, elections officials this week have been busy installing a 0,000 counting machine they have nicknamed "the dragon."The machine was purchased using CARES funds and is capable of sorting 24,000 ballots per hour. "The thing that slows us down the most is actually the fact you have to open two envelopes," Bob Harvie, an elections commissioner, said. On Monday, McDonald's announced that they are developing a new plant-based burger, which they've coined the McPlant.They also are launching a new Crispy Chicken Sandwich in early 2021.In a blog post, the company said it would be testing a meat-free burger in several markets next year. (KGTV) - Police are asking the public's help to identify a man suspected of trying to lure a child away from her mother at a North County Walmart.Oceanside Police said the incident occurred on Sept. 6 after a juvenile female and her mom shopping at the Walmart location at 705 College Boulevard reported a stolen cell phone.Police said security footage showed a man following the pair around the store and taking the juvenile's cell phone from their cart when they were not looking. The mother and daughter reported the phone stolen to security, according to police."Shortly after the girl and her mom reported the lost phone to security, the male started conversing with the juvenile and stated he had her phone in his vehicle," Bussey said.The man started talking with the juvenile, police said, and stated he had her cell phone in his vehicle, a white hatchback, possibly a Hyundai Elantra GT."The male was possibly attempting to lure the juvenile to his vehicle to retrieve the phone," OPD said in a release."I watch really closely. I've got a younger guy so he stays attached to my hip; thank goodness but this is gonna make me even more vigilant. OCEANSIDE (CNS) - A fire at an Oceanside home early this morning displaced four people, but no one was injured, fire officials said today.Around 11:30 p.m. Friday, dispatchers received a report of a fire at a home in the 4000 block of Marcella Street, which is just west of College Boulevard and south of Oceanside Boulevard, according to the Oceanside Fire Department.Crews arrived and initially believed the fire was contained to a sunroom that had been added onto the home in the backyard, officials said.However, firefighters found out the fire had actually engulfed the kitchen and spread to the attic.  The fire was out about 30 minutes after crews first arrived, officials said.A family of four adults was displaced and the American Red Cross helped with providing them shelter.A fire department investigator will look into the cause of the blaze, officials said. 888

(KGTV) — Oceanside lifeguards are warning beachgoers of multiple shark sighting off Oceanside Pier Friday.Lifeguards said they received multiple reports of an unknown species of shark, measuring about 12 feet in length, about 100 yards offshore on the south side of the pier just after 12:30 p.m.Two rescue vessels and a drone were sent out to the shark's last reported location, but no shark was located.RELATED: What to do if a shark attacks at San Diego County beachesThe waters have been cleared for swimmers and surfers for about 1 mile north and 1 mile south of the area, according to lifeguards.Waters will remain open Saturday, barring any other reported sightings.While shark sightings are rare along San Diego County's coastline, lifeguards are asking beachgoers to keep an eye out.RELATED: Beacon's Beach in Encinitas reopens following shark attackA 13-year-old boy was attacked by what is believed to have been a great white shark in September off the coast of Encinitas, just south.Keane Hayes was attacked while lobster diving at Beacon's Beach.
