It's a frightening case of road rage that happened in broad daylight and spanned several communities. Now Police in Allen Park, Michigan are asking for the public's help in finding the man who was driving a black Nissan Altima with a damaged fender and out of state plates on the front and back of the vehicle. Detective Jim Thorburn with the Allen Park Police Department said the man chased another driver several miles and then unleashed at least eight rounds of gunfire at another driver in broad daylight on the southbound Southfield Fwy ramp to I-94. It all started with a fender bender around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday in Detroit, in the area of Chicago near Greenfield. The driver of a pick up truck tried to exchange information, he told police, when the black Nissan Altima driver pulled out a gun. That when he ran. "He was being chased by a Nissan Ultima and he had a big pick up truck and he thought by cutting through fields and stuff he would lose the Ultima," Thorburn said. But that didn't happen. The victim hopped on the Southfield Freeway southbound driving to the I-94 ramp, where the suspect who was still chasing him, opened fire. The victim was hit in the backside but was able to keep driving, he finally lost the shooter, pulled over in Taylor and called police. Police photos show the side of the pick up truck riddled with bullet holes. A big bullet hole in the head rest was a sign that the suspect was likely shooting to kill. The victim escaped with a superficial bullet wound to the backside. Today he said he is in pain, but recovering.  Police are hoping to find someone who might have seen the male suspect fire eight to nine gun shots through the passenger window of his black Nissan Ultima in broad daylight on the busy freeway. That Nissan Altima has front-end damage and out of state plates.    1937

It's cringe-worthy and will take a chunk out of your wallet, getting a rock to the windshield is no fun. There are a few things you can do to ensure you have the best opportunity to get reimbursed.Mother of two, Joan Sutton was driving on I-8 at 12:06 p.m. Tuesday, "I'm on the way to the Costco, I took the freeway instead of the back roads, because I was in a hurry to pick up my kids."Then, CLAP! A rock the size of a baseball smacks her windshield."I need to hide because I was scared!" Sutton said, reenacting how she crouched down and threw one hand in front of her face, fearing for her safety. The entire time she kept one hand steady on the wheel to keep her from crashing. That moment may cost her family 0. They have to completely replace her windshield, with the new large circular crack right in front of her driver's seat. She's thankful her 13 and 11-year-old weren't in the car with her."Glad I was alone, but every time I saw that crack I'm still scared," Sutton said. It's something California Highway Patrol sees all the time, even though there are laws and a small citation encouraging companies to secure their truck's loads. To try to get the company to pay for your repairs, take down the license plate number of the truck, note the date, time and location of the accident. Then report it to your local CHP office and insurance company.Depending on your insurance policy and how much damage there is, you may have to pay out of pocket. For now, Sutton says she has to keep driving, even though she's pretty shaken, "yeah because I have two kids, they're not you know big, and one of my sons has autism, yeah so I need to be brave."She and her husband, Frank, are filing a counter report with the CHP, after the fact to try and get reimbursed for the windshield they're getting fixed on Saturday.10News reached out to the trucking company Friday with no answer. 1949

INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) -- Police say two women climbed in the drive-thru window at an Indianapolis McDonald's and assaulted an employee because they didn't get their chicken McNuggets. Police were called to the restaurant just after 3 a.m. local time Friday morning. The manager told police he was working the drive-thru window when two women pulled up complaining they did not receive their chicken McNuggets. When the manager told the women they didn't order McNuggets or pay for them, even printing out a receipt to show them, the pair tried to order some at the window. The manager told the women they would have to drive back around and order at the signboard and said, "Have a nice day," before turning his back on them to fill other customer orders, according to police. The women then began pounding on the window and honking their car horn, claiming they had been disrespected. They then climbed in the drive-thru window, knocking over a basin full of tea and a tablet register before assaulting the manager. The women then climbed back out the drive-thru window and sped away.Police say they did not get any chicken McNuggets. No arrests have been made. You can watch Part 1 of the incident in the player above taken by Monique Hernandez-McNeely, who was waiting in the drive-thru line behind them. NOTE: Part 2, below, contains graphic language. 1430

It's been a roller coaster year for amusement parks across the country, with crowds or long lines this year because of COVID-19. Most theme parks that were able to reopen did so with guests' safety in mind."This fall is a unique time for us as families are dealing with coming out of the pandemic and what can they do, and certainly it's not over. Everybody is still very concerned about health and safety and looking to the attractions industry is a great place," said Susan Storey, the Global Communications Director for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).Storey says most theme parks across the country are mandating masks and not allowing as many people into the parks."They’re very good at managing how many people can be in a line, to how many people would be in a restaurant," Storey said. "We’re experts at moving people around and being able to provide a safe, healthy, fun experience."Storey says most theme parks are outside on large properties, giving people the ability to spread out."Technology has come into play, too. You can buy your tickets online and show them with your phone. You can do mobile ordering with food, so you’re not standing in line. You can just order, go and pick it up," Storey said. "So, there’s a lot of things that the industry has immediately implemented and added to take their already safe and fun environment."Six Flags over Georgia has fully decorated for Halloween, hoping to encourage families to visit "HalloFest" this fall."Right now, we have reduced capacity, so we are operating at a far lower level at the park than you’d typically see, and that’s so we can ensure social distancing," said Divina Mims, the Communications Manager at Six Flags over Georgia and Whitewater.Six Flags is also conducting daily temperature checks on employees and guests and conducting contactless bag checks. Every other row on a ride is empty, allowing for social distancing even on roller coasters.Hershey Park in Pennsylvania is limiting capacity through an online reservation system."We've also added 300 hand sanitizers, and we have a variety of guest ambassadors in positions to help our guests with all those safety enhancements," said Quinn Bryner, Director of Public Relations for Hershey Entertainment and Resorts. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention discourages large gatherings where maintaining six feet of distance isn't possible, as that puts people at the highest risk for contracting COVID-19.According to the CDC's website, "The more people an individual interacts with at a gathering and the longer that interaction lasts, the higher the potential risk of becoming infected with COVID-19 and COVID-19 spreading."However, Storey says, parks are doing everything they can to keep customers safe."We provide a lot of jobs, and we do a lot for our communities," Storey said. "We provide respite, we provide fun and help create great memories for our guests and visitors, and that's what’s critical in all that we do."Anyone planning a trip an amusement park should check the park's website prior to visiting to ensure that social distancing is possible. 3154
