A preliminary report from the autopsy on Mollie Tibbetts' body determined that her death was a homicide resulting from multiple sharp force injuries, the Iowa State Medical Examiner said.Tibbetts, a 20-year-old student at the University of Iowa, went missing after an evening jog on July 18, sparking a major search in the region. A body that officials believed to be hers was found on Tuesday in a rural area, hidden under corn stalks, and the autopsy confirmed her identity.Cristhian Bahena Rivera, a 24-year-old Mexican man who illegally came to the United States, was charged with her murder on Wednesday after he confessed to following her on her run. A spat between neighbors over an outdoor sculpture has led to calling police and legal actions. Those filings include allegations one of the neighbors blared the “Gilligan’s Island” theme song and other music on loop at all hours to annoy the other neighbor, according to the Los Angeles Times.Billionaire Bill Gross and his partner are accused by tech entrepreneur Mark Towfiq and his wife of harassment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.It’s all about a 22-foot-long and 10-feet-high blue glass art installation, and the pole-and-netting structure around it, that Towfiq claims blocks his view, according to the Times. It was created by Dale Chihuly, a renowned artist known for his blown-glass work, including in the lobby of the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas.It was installed in 2019, but apparently didn’t upset the neighbors until this year when the netting was installed around it after it was damaged, according to city records obtained by the Times.In July, Gross was sent a letter from the City of Laguna Beach that said the netting, lighting and sculpture lacked the proper permits.Apparently, that’s when things escalated.Gross is accused of blaring music at all hours, including the “Gilligan’s Island” theme song, apparently in an effort to force Towfiq to drop the complaint.The two have both filed temporary restraining orders against the other, both are pending in court. 1409

A scary moment happened for parents and young kids when a fight broke out at the Lied Memorial Boys and Girls Club near Lindell Road and Edna Avenue in Las Vegas.It's not clear yet how it all started but from the video, it appears that a number of adults were involved. But what concerns parents most is there were a lot of young children, even babies in the audience when the fight started. What seemed like a heated argument turns into a fistfight within seconds. People were throwing wild punches, shoving and tackling each other as others tried to break the fight.Scripps station KTNV in Las Vegas spoke with a parent who was at the Lied Memorial Boys and Girls Club. Concerned with his kid's safety, he did not want to be identified."It was scary you know just to know that all those kids around, and how fast the situation escalated... just one second everybody was having fun and the next second it was chaos," the parent said. "It was a 'think fast' moment because the kids were close.
