Former New York Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner is set to be released from prison about three months earlier than initially scheduled, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website.In May 2017, Weiner pleaded guilty to one charge of transferring obscene material to a minor in federal court in Manhattan. The charges stem from communications that the former congressman had with a 15f-year-old girl on social media sites between January and March 2016."This crime was my rock bottom," Weiner said in court. Former FBI Director James Comey announced the discovery of the emails less than two weeks before election day, only to conclude two days before the balloting that the emails changed nothing in the investigation. FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A Lehigh Acres, Florida man is facing two counts of child neglect after police say he left two young children alone in a vehicle while he went into a strip club.23-year-old Willie Lee Jordan, Jr. was arrested Thursday night outside of Scarlett's Cabaret in Fort Myers.According to Fort Myers Police, the children were found crying in the back seat of an SUV by a citizen around 11 p.m.  Police were called to the scene, and arrived to find the citizen, two security personnel, and the children outside the vehicle.The SUV 's windows were open about two inches while the children were alone inside.  The good Samaritans were able to instruct the older child to unlock the doors to get out.Staff inside the club made an announcement in an effort to locate the caretaker of the children. That's when Jordan exited the club and was greeted by police.Jordan told officers that he was only inside for one minute, but police had already been on scene for several minutes by that point.Club staff told police Jordan had been at the club earlier that evening but was turned away for a dress code violation. He later returned properly dressed, and was inside the club for about 20 minutes without checking on the children.Jordan was arrested and released Friday on ,000 bond. 1321

Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner announced that archeological investigations found a 7,000-year-old Native American ancestral burial site in the Gulf of Mexico near Venice, Florida.“The Florida Department of State takes our responsibility for the preservation, respectful treatment and security of this rare and unique site very seriously,” said Secretary Detzner. “Our dedicated team of underwater archaeologists has done an incredible job of documenting and researching the Manasota Key Offshore archaeological site, and I am extremely proud of the work. Our hope is that this discovery leads to more knowledge and a greater understanding of Florida’s early peoples. We are thankful for the cooperation of our partners, including Gulf Coast Community Foundation and their CEO, Mark Pritchett, who has provided invaluable support and integration with the local community.”The Manasota Key Offshore (MKO) site is reportedly unprecedented and is located on the continental shelf in offshore waters, preserved in what appears to have been a peat-bottomed freshwater pond thousands of years ago.The state says that out of respect for the individuals buried there and their living descendants, divers are restricted from disturbing the site.Officials say the MKO archaeological site demonstrates that submerged offshore archaeological sites have survived natural occurrences, such as erosion and hurricanes.“Seeing a 7,000-year-old site that is so well preserved in the Gulf of Mexico is awe inspiring," said Dr. Ryan Duggins, Underwater Archaeology Supervisor for BAR. "We are truly humbled by this experience.  It is important to remember that this is a burial site and must be treated with the utmost respect. We now know that this type of site exists on the continental shelf.  This will forever change the way we approach offshore archaeology.
