Scott County Sheriff’s Deputies are working to track down the driver suspected of opening fire during a road rage incident.“Just one person was in a hurry, but it escalated pretty quickly,” said Sgt. Eddie Hart with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.Deputies say a tractor trailer was heading north near mile marker 141 on I-75 in Kentucky when the driver of a black Chevy pick-up truck apparently became angry after the semi driver cut them off.Deputies say the driver of the Chevy opened fire on the semi.“He heard something but didn't know initially what it was until he pulled off the roadway and found a bullet hole in his drivers door and then the bullet was found in the back of seat. So we came inches away from someone getting seriously injured,” said Hart.Deputies obtained video which the victim told them shows the aftermath of the shooting. The footage shows the Chevy pull up behind the victim's semi. The driver of the semi swerves to stop the Chevy from passing.“We don't encourage that we just ask that people call us and let us come and mediate these issues and hopefully resolve them,” said Hart.Deputies say after the shooting the Chevy truck used an emergency turn area to get onto I-75 south and ultimately evade authorities.“Right now we're looking at a minimum wanton endangerment to possibly attempted murder charge. He's firing a gun into a vehicle, and it's a large 80,000 pound vehicle, that if the driver is incapacitated it could cause serious injury to other people,” said Hart.Thankfully no one was hurt, but deputies are now working to track down the suspected shooter. The black Chevy was hauling a trailer and is believed to have stickers of hot rod cars on the back.Deputies can’t make out the tags in the video, and they’re asking anyone who may be able to enhance the video so they can identify the license place to contact them. This article was written by Kylen Mills for 1922

SACRAMENTO, Cali. – If you’ve ever wanted to experience life beyond the Earth’s atmosphere, you may get the chance in six years. A company has a goal to make space vacations a reality by 2025. Right now, The Gateway Foundation is developing the very first space hotel with artificial gravity. “So the Von Braun Space Station is going to be the first commercial space station with artificial gravity,” said Tim Alatorre, a senior design architect with the company. The Von Braun Rotating Space Station will basically be a space hotel for customers.“So, the station works like a bike tire, we’re going to have spokes coming out of the central hub. That’s where the spaceships will dock, zero gravity and then it rotates,” said Alatorre. “So, the rotation creates that artificial gravity on the perimeter – this is where people will be living on the outside edge.”Although artificial gravity sounds like something out of science fiction, Alatorre says the science is sound. Designers will be using technology from the International Space Station.“NASA built the space station with just a few tools, one of them is the mechanical arm that we often see in the videos,” said John Blinko, President of the Gateway Foundation. “It’s the arm that we want to adopt in our space construction and designs and schemes and so forth.”But all of this depends on Elon Musk and SpaceX’s launch system. “SpaceX is developing the Super Heavy and the Starship platform. Our projections are showing the price of tickets is going to get lower as time goes on. So for right now, it could be cost prohibitive for some, but in a few short years, it’s going to be a common thing people do. As soon as Starship is ready to launch and is orbital, we want to be one of the first customers to launch into orbit.”In 2025, Alatorre says people will be able to vacation to space. “So, the space station is going to be a big draw to people,” said Alatorre. “We’re going to have a hotel, restaurant, bar, gymnasium.”But it’s more than that. The foundation says it’s the first step to advancing beyond the atmosphere.“But big picture – we’re trying to build out a space industry,” said Alatorre. “We want to have multiple stations in space – space tourism going to the moon, going to Mars, going to other space stations. And just from a humanity standpoint, having hundreds of people being able to go up to space and look back on Earth and just know we are sharing this little blue marble. I think it’s going to have a profound impact on people.” 2522

Stocks went into reverse just before lunchtime on Wall Street Monday. But nobody could figure out why. There weren't any major earnings or economic reports that came out. Yes, there was a big drop in construction spending for December. But it was largely expected. And it was an "old" report whose release was delayed by the government shutdown.Still, the Dow, which was up as much as 130 points shortly after the market opened, was down 400 points by mid-afternoon before cutting those losses nearly in half. The Dow finished the day with a 207-point drop.Boeing, the biggest component of the Dow and the best stock in the blue chip average so far this year, was one of the worst performers, falling nearly 2%. UnitedHealth, McDonald's, Walgreens, Verizon and Nike were among the biggest drags on the Dow too.Paul Nolte, a portfolio manager with Kingsview Asset Management, told CNN Business that he thinks investors are growing tired of talk about an imminent agreement on a trade deal between the United States and China and want more specifics."This is, what the 38th time, that we are 'close' to a trade deal?" Nolte quipped. "You can only cry wolf so many times. We need something more tangible than we're close."Mike O'Rourke, chief market strategist with JonesTrading, told CNN Business he agreed. He said investors may simply be looking for an excuse to sell considering that the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq are all sporting double-digit percentage gains this year."We've gone up sharply on the potential for a deal. But now that the finish line is in sight people are selling the news," O'Rourke said, adding that a pullback is healthy since the"behavior of the past couple of months was atypical."Market slide is much ado about nothingBut Steve Chiavarone, global allocation portfolio manager and equity strategist with Federated Investors, said the sharp pullback Monday is puzzling because most of the economic headlines are still good. He said Monday's sell-off was merely "noise."He pointed out that bond yields have pulled back now that it looks like the Federal Reserve is not going to raise rates again this year. Earnings for the fourth quarter were mostly solid. And if the trade war does end, then the profit picture could improve further. What's more, economists are expecting another solid month of jobs growth when the employment report for February is released Friday.Others argued that investors are just growing nervous for technical reasons, namely that some of the major market indexes have recently topped round number milestones, such as the Dow crossing 26,000 and the S&P 500 passing 2,800."We've tested some of those October and November highs," said William Delwiche, investment strategist with Baird. "It's purely technical and that's probably why we started to see a little loss of momentum."But William Lynch, director of investments at Hinsdale Associates, summed up the mystifying midday move down best."I have no idea why stocks fell. I don't have a clue. I'm as perplexed as you are," he said.Sometimes stocks just go down, especially after they've enjoyed a strong run. It's as simple as that.The-CNN-Wire? & ? 2019 Cable News Network, Inc., a Time Warner Company. All rights reserved. 3246

SAN DIEGO — The use of Styrofoam and single-use plastics in the city of San Diego will no longer be allowed beginning Saturday. In January, the City Council voted in favor of banning the use of the products within city limits. The ban goes into effect on Feb. 23, according to the city. However, the city is rolling out the ordinance in phases to “allow businesses and other entities time to implement changes with the overall goal of reducing the use of polystyrene foam and single use plastics” across San Diego. In the first phase, city food vendors will no longer be allowed to provide plastic/bioplastic utensils or straws unless they are requested by a customer.RELATED: 686
