SHANNON, Ireland, May 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Sunday visited a cow farm in the Irish town of Shannon in a show of his strong interest in boosting bilateral agricultural cooperation.
He hoped that the two sides could continue making efforts to create new bright spots in bilateral cooperation.
"I hope the two sides will take the opportunity of our meeting to turn the high-level political relationship into more substantial and practical outcomes, and work together to open up a new era for the China-Belarus comprehensive strategic partnership," Xi said as he held talks with the Belarusian president.
He will also meet with Russian WWII veterans and representatives of Russian experts who once worked in China.
Xi's upcoming visit is also set to push forward the realization of the China-proposed Silk Road Economic Belt initiative, which aims to enhance the interconnectivity between Eastern, Central, Western Asia and Europe.
