PRETORIA, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- South African President Jacob Zuma will pay a state visit to China next month to further strengthen strategic relationship, it was announced on Thursday.
The belt initiative to revive the ancient Silk Road from China via Central Asia and Russia to Europe was put forward by President Xi Jinping during a visit to Kazakhstan in September last year. Kazakhstan and many other countries have responded positively to the initiative.
"The move will raise the international competitiveness of Chinese products, especially equipment products, boost structural upgrading of foreign trade and push manufacturing and financial sectors to a medium-high level," the document showed.
The guideline, which was approved by CMC Chairman Xi Jinping, said new command headquarters would enhance the military's operations.
Zhang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), made the remarks when meeting with Regina Ip, chair of Hong Kong's New People's Party.
