SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (KGTV) - A beloved monitor lizard that slinked away from an East County pet store has been found."Bubbles," a six-year-old black-throated monitor lizard, disappeared from Mike's Pets in Spring Valley on Sunday, according to the store's owner Mike Estevez.Security camera footage inside the store captured Bubbles slip away out a back door and the cage propped against the open entrance.RELATED: Beloved lizard missing from Spring Valley pet storeEstevez told 10News that Bubbles was found Thursday by a volunteer searcher from Los Angeles. The five-and-a-half foot, 35-pound lizard was hiding in brush near the pet store.The area had been searched at least 10 times, according to Estevez, but was likely sleeping, camouflaged in the brush, or climbed out of sight.Bubbles was a little dehydrated and hungry when found but was quickly fed, Estevez said.10News reporter Michael Chen visited Mike's Pets after news of Bubble's return:The lizard's time on the lam inspired a Twitter account dedicated to the lizard. 1096

St. Louis Zoo officials are trying to solve the mystery of how a 62-year-old ball python laid seven eggs without being around a male python for at least two decades. An expert at the zoo says it’s unusual but not rare for ball pythons to reproduce asexually. Pythons also sometimes store sperm for delayed fertilization. The zoo say the birth is also unusual because ball pythons stop laying eggs long before they reach their 60s. The python laid the eggs in July. Three of the eggs remain in an incubator, two were used for genetic sampling and snakes in the other two eggs did not survive. 599

(KGTV) -- Bike riders in Solana Beach were out in their bright pink Saturday morning to raise money for breast cancer patients. It was all part of the annual Boob Ride lead riders along the coast, some as far north as Camp Pendleton. Participants could ride for 30, 60 or 90 miles.After the ride, there was a big party at Tidewater Tavern where riders enjoyed a buffet, massages and beer. Over 200 cyclists were expected, over 300 showed up to the after party.All of the money raised goes to help breast cancer patients with meal preps, rides to appointments and other needs.  630

(KGTV) — Video captured Friday showed another bluff failure in the Solana Beach area, weeks after a series of small bluff collapses.Kelly Nelle captured a small bluff failure at a site that appeared taped off due to a previous bluff collapse. No one was injured.Several parts of Fletcher Cove were taped off in August as sandstone tumbled about 75 feet down to the beach. It isn't clear if Friday's collapse was at the same site, but the area was already taped off and appeared to have a pile of sediment at the base of the cliff side.In late August, Torrey Pines beach goers were warned of bluff collapses after a section fell to the ground. In early August, a massive section of rock fell in Encinitas, killing three people.As temperatures rise and bring more locals out to the coast, officials cautioned visitors to walk 25 - 40 feet away from all bluffs and not to walk around barricades because large rocks could still fall.Video from Friday showed some smaller rocks falling before the larger section fell onto the Solana Beach spot. 1068
