BEIJING, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- Cooperation far outweighs differences between China and the European Union (EU), said Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a telephone conversation with Slovenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Anze Logar on Tuesday.
Jointly held by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development, the forum was attended by over 200 representatives from more than 60 countries and regions, as well as over 20 international organizations via video.
The CPC has always attached great importance to ensuring that China's governance is based on law.
Li, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, addressed the opening ceremony and called on both sides to uphold the spirit of "independence, mutual understanding, great foresight, and win-win cooperation" to create a brighter future for bilateral relations.
"China is willing to work with Japan to follow the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, abide by the principles of the four China-Japan political documents and relevant consensus between the two sides, and jointly promote the stable development of bilateral relations on the correct track of peace, friendship and win-win cooperation," Li said.
