(KGTV) — Guitar Center, the county's largest musical instrument retailer, is expected to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after reaching a deal to restructure its debt.According to Bloomberg, the retailer's restructuring plan aims to reduce its debt by 0 million. "With ten consecutive quarters of growth prior to the impact from COVID-19, we have been pleased with our resilient financial performance during these challenging times created by the pandemic," Guitar Center CEO Ron Japinga said in a statement. "As a result of this financial restructuring process, we will be better equipped to execute on and invest in our strategic growth initiatives and we will continue delivering through the strength of our brands, availability of our stores, customer-focused associate relationships, innovative music education programs and our expanding digital solutions."The plan includes 5 million in new investments from funds managed by the company's private equity owner Ares Management, the Carlyle Group, and Brigade Capital Management, Bloomberg reported.Filing for Chapter 11 would allow Guitar Center to keep operating while the company works to turn around its business performance. (CNN) -- Maui residents who evacuated their homes because of a wildfire are allowed to return, the County of Maui announced Friday on Facebook.But Maui County Mayor Michael Victorino cautioned that, "This fire is still an active threat to our community, and residents are urged to remain vigilant of changing conditions," in the same post.Firefighters will continue to monitor the blaze that has consumed an estimated 10,000 acres of fallow former sugar cane and dry brush, according the county.The fire was reported Thursday morning at 10:42 a.m. local time near the intersection of Waiko Road and Kuihelani Highway.The County of Maui activated its Emergency Operations Center in the morning. By afternoon, the flames were burning out of control and emergency officials sent a mobile alert warning nearby residents to evacuate.More than 600 people fled as the blaze scorched 3,000 acres, the mayor's office said. The Maui Humane Society moved its animals in crates and kennels to a nearby high school.Helicopters were grounded after sunset, and they are expected to return to making air drops after sunrise, according to a news release from the county.Oprah Winfrey has a home in the county, and tweeted a local resident to confirm that she's given officials fighting the fire access to her private road. "A big mahalo to Oprah for giving Maui County access to your private road for use to assist in the Maui fire," Hawaii Gov. David Ige tweeted.Flights at Kahului Airport were briefly diverted, but operations have returned to normal. The fire affected access to the airport, which was operating on emergency generators. (KGTV) - A New York woman is being charged for poisoning a "look-alike" friend via cheesecake and stealing her identity documents.Viktoria Nasyrova, 42, of Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, was charged with attempted murder, burglary, and other charges for allegedly poisoning a Queens woman, who resembled Nasyrova, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown announced Wednesday.Investigators said Nasyrova gifted cheesecake laced with the Russian-made tranquilizer phenazepam to the victim on Aug. 28, 2016. The victim began eating the dessert before falling ill and passing out.BIZARRE CRIME: Construction workers dragged into ditch in bizarre hit-and-run"This is a bizarre and twisted crime that could have resulted in the death of a Queens woman, whose only fault was that she shared similar features with the defendant," Brown said in a release. "Luckily, the Queens woman survived the poisoning."The victim and Nasyrova resemble one another, officials said: Both have dark hair, the same skin complexion, and speak Russian.According to investigators, the victim's last memory that day was of Nasyrova sitting beside her in her home.BIZARRE CRIME: Fight allegedly breaks out on flight due to flatulenceThe victim was discovered the following day unconscious in her bed, wearing lingerie, with phenazepam pills scattered around her — as if she had attempted suicide, officials said. She was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.When the victim returned home from the hospital, however, she realized her passport, employment authorization card, a gold ring, and cash were all missing. Investigators said those items were later recovered when Nasyrova was finally arrested on March 20, 2017.Nasyrova faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted. She is being held without bail and will appear in court on May 25.According to People Magazine, Nasyrova has also eluded Russian authorities and is charged in the 2014 death of 54-year-old Alla Aleksenko. People reported Nasyrova seduced the lead detective of that case to help her flee the country. 2117
