Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff's officials say a man has been taken into custody after threatening to shoot churchgoers in the north Valley. The investigation began on February 19, when detectives received a Facebook post in Romanian. The post reportedly translated into concerning statements, but nothing specific about the North Valley Romanian Pentecostal Church. A witness reportedly overheard a phone conversation in Romanian on speakerphone. In that call, Ismaiel Damian indicated he was planning on entering the church to shoot and kill many people in attendance with his machine gun. Detectives monitored Damian leaving for the church and took him into custody on Sunday.A .38 Special Taurus revolver was located in his vehicle. Damian was booked into a jail for misdemeanor use of an electronic communication to terrify, intimidate, threaten or harass.  907

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- One former police officer has been charged in the Breonna Taylor case, but that doesn't mean it's the end of investigations.People across the country have been following the case of Taylor's death, and many wanted to see the officers involved face criminal charges. Demonstrations were held Wednesday night in Louisville and other cities after it was announced former Louisville Metro Police Department Detective Brett Hankison's charges of wanton endangerment are not directly related to Taylor's death. Additionally, two officers who fired shots the night Taylor was killed will not face criminal charges. They do still face another investigation, though.The Courier-Journal reports that the Louisville police department is conducting a Professional Standards Unit investigation to determine whether they and four other officers violated police policy or rules during the raid. The results of this internal review could lead to disciplinary action.Also, the FBI is conducting an investigation that could result in civil rights violations.Governor Andy Beshear is calling for the details of the state's investigation to be posted online by Attorney General Daniel Cameron."I trust Kentuckians. They deserve to see the facts for themselves, and I believe that the ability to process those facts helps everybody," said Beshear.Taylor's case is one of many that became a focus in the conversation about police reform. Attorney General Cameron says he'll form a task force to look at Kentucky's search warrants' policies. MALIBU (CNS) - Santa Ana winds were expected to continue to plague firefighters battling the deadly Woolsey Fire in Los Angeles and Ventura counties Tuesday as officials re-emphasized to evacuated residents that they must stay away until the area has been declared safe.Winds of 25 to 35 mph were forecast to blow with gusts of 40 to 45 mph, National Weather Service Meteorologist Joe Sirard said. Those wind speeds are likely to drop to 25 to 30 mph Tuesday night into Wednesday with gusts to 40 mph.That prompted the NWS to continue its Red Flag Warning through 5 p.m. Wednesday for the Woolsey Fire area in Los Angeles and Ventura counties -- except Malibu, where the Red Flag Warning is set to expire at 5 p.m Tuesday. High temperatures of 70s to low 80s are predicted through Wednesday with lows near freezing ``in wind-sheltered areas,'' Sirard said.The latest Woolsey Fire update from Cal Fire had at least 435 structures destroyed, 24 structures damaged and the estimated number of structures still threatened about 57,000.The blaze has burned about 93,700 acres and was 30 percent contained, with full containment not expected until Thursday, Cal Fire said.
