NEWARK, N.J. - Before the holiday travel season picks up, United Airlines said they will be offering free coronavirus tests to passengers on select flights between New Jersey and the United Kingdom, beginning Nov. 16.According to a press release, the airline launched the 4-week pilot program that will run from Nov. 16 to Dec. 11.United is only rapidly testing passengers flying between Newark Liberty International Airport to London Heathrow, free of charge.United said appointments are required, and passengers will have to arrive three hours before their flight to get results back in time."We believe the ability to provide fast, same-day COVID-19 testing will play a vital role in safely reopening travel around the world and navigating quarantines and travel restrictions, particularly to key international destinations like London," said Toby Enqvist, chief customer officer for United in the news release. "Through this pilot program, we'll guarantee that everyone* onboard has tested negative for COVID-19, adding another element to our layered approach to safety. NEW YORK — The American Museum of Natural History is removing a statue of Theodore Roosevelt on horseback with a Native American man and an African man on his sides after objections that it symbolizes colonial expansion and racial discrimination. As Stewart explained on Instagram , she wanted to be picked up on Fifth Avenue and 57th Street.Stewart wrote the first car did not show up and the second parked "halfway down" the street where she "could not see the license plate." That car was pointed in the wrong direction, delaying her journey as the car snaked through midtown Manhattan traffic.But the worst part was the car "was a mess inside and out!!!!!!!!" NEW YORK (AP) — Microsoft said Friday it is permanently closing nearly all of its physical stores around the world.Like other retailers, the software and computing giant had to temporarily close all of its stores in late March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.Microsoft has 83 stores, including 72 stores in the U.S., where it showcases and sells laptops and other hardware.The company says it will "reimagine" spaces that serve all customers, including operating Microsoft Experience Centers in London, NYC, Sydney, and Redmond campus locations.Friday’s announcement reflects what the company calls a “strategic change” for its retail business as sales increasingly shift online.Microsoft said all employees would have the opportunity to remain with the company.
