Kenny Bachman made a responsible decision. After a night of drinking in Morgantown, West Virginia, Bachman opted to use an Uber.Little did Bachman know that rather than returning to his friends' place in Morgantown, Bachman was on a 300-mile journey back to his New Jersey home, according to NJ.com.According to the NJ.com report, Bachman passed out in the passenger seat of a 2011 Honda Odyssey, hours into his costly journey home. When he awakened, instead of just getting out and be stranded in the middle of no where, he decided to keep going."I just woke up," Bachman told NJ.com. "And I'm thinking, 'Why the f--- am I in the car next to some random a** dude I don't even know?"Besides the accidental 300-mile trip, Bachman had to pay extra because he had mistakenly requested an UberXL, and it was surge pricing. Had it not been surge pricing, Bachman would have paid just 9.14, NJ.com reported. Bachman told NJ.com that his driver did not have money to pay for the unexpected tollbooths, so Bachman stopped at a CVS ATM to give the driver cash to use for tolls on the return trip.Although Bachman gave the driver 5 Stars, he protested the charge to Uber, claiming he never put his home address in New Jersey into the app. Uber told NJ.com that the dispute has been resolved, and that Bachman agreed to pay the fare.  1419

Jeffrey Tambor will not be returning for the next season of "Transparent," Amazon Studios tells CNN.Tambor, who was the series lead, had previously indicated he might not return to the critically acclaimed show, after harassment allegations were made against him.The actor has said the allegations against him were "simply and utterly untrue."In a statement released late Thursday, Tambor said he was "profoundly disappointed in Amazon's handling of these false accusations against me."He also accused Amazon of conducting an investigation that was "was deeply flawed and biased toward the toxic politicized atmosphere that afflicted our set."Tambor, 73, first faced allegations in November, spurring an investigation by Amazon.One of his accusers is his former assistant Van Barnes, who claimed Tambor "made lewd, sexually suggestive and unwelcome remarks to her on a number of occasions," according to Deadline, which first reported the allegations.In a statement posted to social media in November, "Transparent" actress Trace Lysette accused Tambor of making sexual advances and comments toward her.In a statement obtained by CNN on Thursday, "Transparent" creator Jill Soloway praised Lysette and Barnes, "whose courage in speaking out about their experience on 'Transparent' is an example of the leadership this moment in our culture requires.""We are grateful to the many trans people who have supported our vision for 'Transparent' since its inception and remain heartbroken about the pain and mistrust their experience has generated in our community," she said. JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — It’s easy to spot deer or wild turkeys along Parmalee Gulch Road north of Highway 285 in Jefferson County. But what's catching the eyes of speeding drivers now is a creature of myth and legend.On Ron DiDonato's Indian Hills property is a 5-foot pink pig with wings that flap, attached to a 10-foot pole.“I knew this would be an attention-getter and it definitely has been,” DiDonato said. “At first, I didn’t know if it was going to be good or not because they were stopping in the street to look at it."DiDonato said he decided to create the flying pig to play off the saying that the only time traffic would slow down on Parmalee Gulch Road is when pigs fly.“I couldn’t go out, couldn’t do anything, so I decided to do this just to slow the traffic down and it sure has helped,” DiDonato said. “I’m not an artist of any sort, so I did papier-maché, and to make it weatherproof I fiberglassed it. Then painted it pink and put lipstick on it.”Ron needed newspaper for his papier-maché project, which his granddaughter helped with, so he contacted Terri Wiebold, publisher of the Castle Pines Connection.“Having done some pandemic purging ourselves, The Castle Pines Connection had set aside some archived papers to recycle, and we were happy to oblige DiDonato’s request," Wiebold said.DiDonato said so far, it seems to be working — people are so surprised to see the flying pig, they slow down to take it all in.DiDonato said he blames the speeding problem on the growth that has been coming as fast as the drivers down these foothill roads and in this part of Jefferson County.Mike Taplin, public information officer for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office said he doesn't know if the flying pig has helped slow speeding traffic."If people post something or do something to help remind drivers to follow traffic laws and drive with safety in mind, we do not have a problem," he said.
