Kevin Spacey made the set of Netflix's "House of Cards" into a "toxic" work environment through a pattern of sexual harassment, eight people who currently work on the show or worked on it in the past tell CNN. "It was a toxic environment for young men who had to interact with him at all in the crew, cast, background actors."The other people who worked on "House of Cards" with whom CNN spoke all supported the idea that the set could be toxic for young men because of Spacey.A crew member who worked on the show for all six seasons said that Spacey routinely harassed and touched him."He would put his hands on me in weird ways," the crew member said. "He would come in and massage my shoulders from behind or put his hands around me or touch my stomach sometimes in weird ways that in normal everyday conversation would not be appropriate."This crew member said he did not "feel comfortable" telling Spacey to stop. "That's the worst part about this whole thing. (KGT) - An historic hiking trail in La Jolla will reopen after a 30-year battle with homeowners.The Princess Street trail goes from the top of the cliff at Princess Street to the water near La Jolla Shores. For years, access to the path had been closed because of a dispute over who owned the land leading to the trail.A homeowner claimed it was on their property and put up a gate blocking access to the trail. Over the years, brush and vegetation had overgrown the trail, making it impossible to hike on.In 2012, the Coastal Commission ruled that the gate was on public land and must be reopened.Now, the Environmental Center of San Diego is overseeing the revitalization and eventual reopening of the trail."Access to the coast is the one public right that we can hold," says Pam Heatherington with the Environmental Center. "We want to get kids out into the natural world. If this is a small part of that, we're up for it."People who live along Princess Street are split on their feelings about the trail. Melinda Merryweather says she remembers using it in the 1960s and wants her grandkids to enjoy it as well. She's been fighting for it to reopen for 23 years."It was a terrible injustice," she says of the gate that blocked access. "It's just so heart-filling to now see this as a reality.""I've been on record that I don't like it," says Dave Reynolds. He and his family have lived in a house next to the trail for four generations. He thinks reopening it will bring a litany of problems to the neighborhood."Safety, possible illegal activity, increased traffic, trash," he says of the issues he foresees. "But it is what it is. We're not happy about it, but there's nothing we can do about it."Supporters say it won't draw crowds, as it goes to an area only popular with divers and local surfers. They say people who want a traditional beach experience will still go to La Jolla Shores nearby.They also say having the trail will allow for easier rescues when people get trapped by the rising tides along the cove.The Environmental Center is now using a ,000 grant to clear the brush on the trail to within 6 inches of the ground. LA JOLLA -- The iconic Scripps Pier stretches more than 1,000 feet over the ocean at La Jolla Shores.It also serves as a starting point for a new mosaic that maps the wildlife in and around the 1,900-foot deep canyons under the water. Over the last year, four artists have laid down upwards of 500,000 pieces of glass and porcelain. They created a 2,400 square-foot mosaic that shows everything from fish to stingrays to whales."When someone sees something and loves it, they want to know more about it, and they also want to protect it," said Wick Alexander, one of the artists. On Tuesday, the artists held an open house to view the mosaic. It's now tucked away inside a building in the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. In a few months, crews plan to install it at Kellogg Park at the Shores, a spot a smaller mosaic once occupied. That mosaic, installed in 2008, began crack and was removed. Alexander says the new one will be able to last a lot longer. Renowned oceanographer Walter Munk, one of the project's main backers, said he hopes the mosaic makes a lasting impression. "People who don't dive and who don't really realize can get a chance to see what's going on," he said. Munk and his wife Mary donated more than 0,000 to the project. JAMUL, Calif. (KGTV) -- A man was arrested Tuesday morning after reportedly stabbing a San Diego County Sheriff’s Department K-9 and spraying deputies with bear spray. Deputies were called to the 15000 block of Skyline Truck Trail in Jamul around 10 a.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of a man walking around a vehicle talking to himself. When deputies arrived, they made contact with the man, identified as Richard Lechuga, 29, of San Diego, sitting in a vehicle. When deputies approached Lechuga, he reportedly sprayed three of them with bear spray through an open window. Deputies say Lechuga then brandished what appeared to be a knife and a handgun and stabbed a K-9 in the head and face. Deputies were able to take Lechuga into custody after using less-lethal shotgun rounds, pepper balls and a Taser. The K-9 was taken to a local veterinarian for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The deputies were also treated on scene and Lechuga was taken to the hospital for treatment. Lechuga was arrested for felony assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, assaulting a police animal and resisting arrest.
