The Cameron Peak Fire is now the largest wildfire in Colorado's history. It grew overnight and is now 164,140 acres, but it remains 56% contained and no injuries have been reported.The fire became the largest in Colorado history Wednesday evening. It took only 48 days for the Cameron Peak Fire to surpass the 139,007-acre Pine Gulch Fire as the largest in recorded state history, and also blew past the 137,760-acre Hayman Fire in 2002.In a Thursday morning update, Operations Section Chief Paul Demerico of Rocky Mountain Team 1 said they are expecting a challenging few days ahead."But we have beefed up and feel like we have adequate resources to do what we can, especially when it comes to structure protection," he said.Several areas near the fire are under mandatory or voluntary evacuations as a result of the blaze. Highway 34 was also temporarily shut down in both directions between Loveland and Estes Park to help with evacuations, but has reopened.In addition, the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Roosevelt National Forest closed Thursday morning. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say four people have died and 11 others have been hospitalized after they ingested hand sanitizer.In the report, the CDC said the 15 adults, 13 of which were men, were being treated for methanol poisoning, which occurred in New Mexico and Arizona between May and June.The CDC said three people suffered vision problems."Alcohol-based hand sanitizer products should never be ingested," CDC officials said in the report. "In patients with compatible signs and symptoms or after having swallowed hand sanitizer, prompt evaluation for methanol poisoning is required. Health departments in all states should coordinate with poison centers to identify cases of methanol poisoning."As of July 8, four people were still hospitalized, the report stated."Among the four patients who died, three had seizures at the time of admission; initial signs and symptoms were not reported for the fourth patient," the report said.According to the report, the average age was 43, with some of the incidents happening amongst Native Americans. 1076

The founder of Tower Records died Sunday while drinking whiskey and watching the Oscars, the Sacramento Bee reported.Russ Solomon ran the music store chain until it went bankrupt in 2006.At its height, Tower Records operated in 20 countries.
