BEIJING, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and visiting Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak attended a grand ceremony in Beijing Saturday marking the 40th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.

The multilateral financial institutions, independently set up by the developing economies, mark a major step in building their own financial safety net, Wang said.

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the creation of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, which was jointly initiated by China, India and Myanmar in 1954, Li said China was willing to further strengthen cooperation with India and jointly push ahead the construction of the Bangladesh-China-India-Myanmar economic corridor.

"Today the China-U.S. relations have reached a new historical starting point. New realities call for new ways for countries to interact with each other and build new models of relationship," he said, adding that "our leaders, President Xi Jinping and President Barack Obama, set the goal for China and the United States to work together to build a new model of major country relationship."

She said President Xi highly values China's friendly and cooperative relations with Mauritania and is willing to promote the sound and steady development of China-Mauritania relations on the basis of exchanges at various levels and pragmatic cooperation.
