KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A bill passed by the Missouri House would allow school districts to offer Bible study as an elective class.The bill, HB 267, would allow schools to teach the Bible from a historic perspective. Kern County Fire has confirmed that a wind turbine caught fire around 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mojave causing a grass fire. Fire officials told Scripps station KERO in Bakersfield the wind turbine is located on the west-side of Highway 14 and crew members are working to put the fire out.
