SEATTLE (AP) — Prosecutors plan to decide on charges against the man who hit two protesters with his car while driving on a Seattle freeway that was closed for Black Lives Matter demonstrations. One of the protesters was killed. Police say Dawit Kelete hit two people at about 1:40 a.m. Saturday. Summer Taylor, a 24-year-old veterinary clinic worker, suffered critical injuries and died Saturday night. Diaz Love was hospitalized in serious condition. The King County prosecutor's office said it was reviewing investigation documents and would decide on charges by Wednesday afternoon. The driver is being held on a .2 million bail. 643

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Emergency crews have recovered a body after an incident at a Scottsdale aquatic park.Crews were at Eldorado Aquatic Park near Hayden and McDowell road early Monday morning.Scottsdale police say around 12:30 a.m.; an officer was making rounds in the area when he heard what sounded like muffled calls for help.He worked to locate where the calls may be coming from and eventually found them to be coming from a pipe that helps support one of the water slides.Officers were communicating with the victim, said to be a transient, but lost communication with him around 2 a.m.Officials say the man reportedly went up over a tall fence surrounding the park and was up on the slide. He then somehow fell into the pipe structure, where he became trapped.Crews had to dismantle the slide in order to get the victim's body out.He has since been identified as 31-year-old Ryan Kelly. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — San Francisco Bay Area police say two teens have admitted to starting a grass fire that scarred an iconic hillside amid a scorching heatwave and dangerous fire conditions. South San Francisco police said a brush fire spotted Friday around noon on “Sign Hill” grew quickly due to hot and windy conditions. Crews contained the fire hours later with no injuries and no structures lost but residents were temporarily displaced. Officials say an alert resident spotted two teen boys, ages 14 and 16, leaving the area where the fire started.It has been a disastrous wildfire season in California. 619

SEATTLE (AP) — Starbucks says it will offer delivery in most of the U.S. by early next year.The Seattle coffee company launched delivery last fall in Miami with its partner, Uber Eats. It has since expanded to 10 additional U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.Starbucks says Uber Eats will remain its preferred provider as it rolls out delivery more widely.Customers in most areas where Starbucks and Uber Eats operate will be able to order drinks and other menu items. SAN MARCOS, Calif. (KGTV) -- A San Marcos man had to rush his small dog to the hospital after the animal was bitten by a rattlesnake that somehow managed to get into the home.Ross Margolin says he came home to feed his five dogs when he heard the dogs in the other room barking at something.When he walked into the kitchen, he says he heard the unmistakable rattle. Margolin quickly called a company that specialized in getting snakes out of the house.The man who came to collect the rattlesnake was able to quickly get the two and a half foot long reptile out of the home. Margolin says he later noticed one of his dogs was bitten by the snake.Fortunately, Margolin says his dog quickly recovered after being rushed to the animal hospital for treatment. Margolin says the snake was able to get into the home through an open sliding door.  857
