WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration is reporting the first U.S. drug shortage tied to the viral outbreak that began in China. The agency said late Thursday that the maker of the drug contacted health officials recently about the shortage. Officials declined to identify the manufacturer or the product. China ranks second among countries that export drugs and biotech medicines to the U.S. The agency says there are currently no U.S. shortages of biotech products, medical devices or other key health care products tied to the outbreak. 558

House general counsel Douglas Letter told the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit about why the House now needs access to grand jury material Mueller collected in his investigation.The House's arguments Monday draw new focus to whether Trump had lied to Mueller following public revelations at Roger Stone's trial this month.Former Trump deputy campaign chairman Rick Gates testified that Trump and Stone talked about information that was coming that could help the campaign in mid-2016, at a time when Stone was attempting to get secret details about stolen Democratic documents WikiLeaks had.Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort also apparently told the Mueller grand jury what Trump's approach to WikiLeaks had been in 2016, according to the Mueller report.But Trump told Mueller in his written statements he didn't recall discussing WikiLeaks with Stone.The House previously reviewed most of what Mueller had written in his final report, including parts kept from the public. But the House hasn't been able to see what Manafort told the grand jury, which Mueller apparently described in his report. WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court is allowing the Trump administration to continue enforcing a policy that makes asylum-seekers wait in Mexico for U.S. court hearings, despite lower court rulings that the policy probably is illegal. The justices' order comes Wednesday over a dissenting vote by Justice Sonia Sotomayor. It overturns a lower court order that would have blocked the policy, at least for people arriving at the border crossings in Arizona and California. The high court action comes a day before the lower court order was to have taken effect. Instead, the “Remain in Mexico" policy will stay in place while a lawsuit challenging it plays out in the courts. 685

Joe Scarborough two decades ago is demanding Twitter remove President Donald Trump's tweets suggesting Scarborough murdered her. Lori Klausutis died in Scarborough's Florida office in 2001.Timothy Klausutis asked Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in a letter last week to delete Trump's tweets.Twitter says it's working to "more effectively address things like this going forward." Trump has feuded with Scarborough, who hosts MSNBC's "Morning Joe" show. Trump has tried to implicate Scarborough in the death even though Scarborough wasn't in Florida at the time.
