What does it look like when galaxies collide? The Hubble Telescope captured a unique sight as two galaxies are in the process of merging.NASA says the galaxy, called NGC 1614, is about 200 million light-years from Earth and is the result of a “galactic merger” which has created a unique appearance. They call it “eccentrically shaped” and “ablaze with activity” in a statement on NASA’s website. What you flush down your toilet could be brought back up to detect COVID-19.“Anytime that we are talking about poop, it’s a subject that either brings laughter or disgust; maybe a combination of the two,” said John Putnam with Colorado Public Health and Environment. Putnam is helping lead a team to test human waste to determine molecule levels linked with the coronavirus.“This gives you early warning that there could be an upsurge or a lessening of the disease in the community,” he said.Putnam says a person that’s been exposed to COVID-19 will pass the virus through their feces and possibly even urine. The waste eventually flows into sewer systems, which scientists will now collect.“We can then take a sample at a wastewater plant and send it to a lab,” he said.Labs at places like Metropolitan State University of Denver.“One of the advantages of this approach is that everybody in the community makes a contribution to the sewage,” said Rebecca Ferrell, Ph.D., a biology professor at MSU Denver.She says that when people get infected with COVID-19, they often shed the virus for several days before showing symptoms. Companies walked back statements they made on Twitter or struggled to explain their actual relationships to Hannity -- in each case stoking the social media fires.Critics targeted companies that advertised on Hannity's syndicated radio show as well as his Fox News program after Hannity appeared to defend Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore on Thursday. Moore has been accused of sexual misconduct with teenagers, including a 14-year-old girl. He has denied the allegations.The firestorm began in earnest on Friday. Angelo Carusone, president of liberal watchdog group Media Matters for America, appealed directly to brands like Keurig to cut advertising ties with Hannity."Good afternoon @Keurig. You are currently sponsoring Sean Hannity's show ... please reconsider," Carusone wrote on Twitter.Keurig responded the next morning. "If you don't think through the media strategy carefully, you can expose yourself to criticism from other people -- including people you see as potential customers," King said.Schenkler added that brands may sometimes forget how public their Twitter interactions are."What [brands] might consider to be business conversations are just out there, and people forget that," he said.
