(KGTV) - A San Diego student's death initially prompted the construction of the bridge that collapsed Thursday at Florida International University.Alexis Dale, an 18-year-old FIU freshman from San Diego, died in August 2017 when she was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Southwest 8th Street and 109th Avenue near the school, according to the Miami Herald.Dale had just started studying information technology in June, the Herald reported.RELATED: Pedestrian bridge collapse at university in Miami kills at least oneThe bridge that collapsed Thursday was being built at the intersection where Dale died as a way for people to cross the busy street safely.At least eight people were trapped and at least one person died due to the bridge collapse in Miami."I am heartbroken at the news of the collapse of the pedestrian bridge on 8th Street and the resulting devastation. (KGTV) - A man accused of leading police on a lengthy, high-speed pursuit in Oklahoma City Friday recorded the incident on Facebook Live.Sirens could be heard blaring in the background as the man drives the reportedly stolen truck. The man identified himself as the suspect in the chase, yelling, "I'm in a high-speed chase, bro!" out the window at another person.Watch the video below:At least three crashes were caused as a result of the hours-long chase, according to KOCO in Oklahoma.The chase began on Interstate 240 in southwest Oklahoma City and continued into Moore, OK. (KGTV) - A former Coronado Fire Department employee will spend the next decade in prison for child molestation. Mark Price, who was a firefighter for 30 years, was sentenced Thursday for sexually abusing a young family member on vacation in Hawaii last year. The girl and her mother gave their victim impact statements to the judge in Hawaii over the phone. The young victim said she feels very uncomfortable when she’s alone in a room with a man. Her mother said she’s worried how this will affect her daughter as she becomes a teenager, and that this has ruined her daughter’s life. “Mark was her role model, the man figure in her life that she trusted the most and that was all shattered and she has trust issues even with me,” said Dannika Zarghami, who knows the victim. Price faces additional charges related to the same victim in San Diego. He will be in a downtown courtroom Tuesday. 899
