SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A San Diego man is accused of having and distributing explicit images of minors.According to a federal complaint that was just unsealed authorities allege Gilad Daniel Reifler knowingly distributed visual depictions of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct and possessed images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.The federal documents say agents used peer-to-peer file sharing software to connect to his computer in January 2017 and obtain more than four thousand images. Agents say they were able to connect to the computer on two other dates and obtain more sexually explicit files.According to the complaint in June of 2017 agents searched Reifler’s home where they claim he admitted to obtaining and distributing child pornography via the same P2P file-sharing program that they used to obtain the images from a device in his residence.Court documents say, “following the execution of the search warrant I reviewed media seized from Reifler’s residents. The results showed over 170,000 images and over 10,000 videos depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct on media seized.”A man who identified himself has Gilad Reifler told Team 10 investigator Adam Racusin he had no comment about the allegations.10News tried to get a hold of Reifler’s attorney, but as of this writing have not heard back.The FBI tells Team 10 they can’t comment on anything outside of what’s already in the public documents. 1466

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A homeowner in Clairemont hopes surveillance video is the key to tracking down the intruder who climbed straight through his window, before making off with some family heirlooms.Just off Balboa Avenue around 1:30 p.m. Monday, a man is seen ringing the doorbell at the home of Jeff Howell. After minutes of ringing and knocking, the man is recorded heading for the backyard, where he peers into the patio door and grabs a chair. He then pries open a locked window, steps onto the chair and into the home.MAP: Track crime happening in your neighborhood"Just a sense of violation," said Howell.The man is then seen on the phone, possibly with a lookout."You can hear him discussing 'it's safe now' or 'somebody just went by,'" said Howell.Moments later, the man heads straight for the bedroom closet, dragging out a small safe, before carrying it out the front door.By the time Howell saw his text alert, the intruder was gone. The man was in the home for about 15 minutes. Inside the safe: authentication documents for artwork and family heirlooms belonging to his 11-year-old son, including a silver spoon given to him at birth and something from his rodeo-competing great-grandfather, who has passed."He had a prize-winning, silver belt buckle. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A man is searching for the good Samaritan who pulled him from a rip current in La Jolla this week.Patrick Fitzpatrick was swimming at Windansea Beach Tuesday."It took a snap second before I was in control to completely out of control," Fitzpatrick recalled, after becoming caught in a rip current. "There was no way on Earth that I was going to live from this. I was in a panic. I couldn't use my arms and legs now."Someone on shore, only known as "Dustin," noticed Fitzpatrick struggling and swam out to help him."He's a guardian angel. He owe him my life, he saved my life," Fitzpatrick says.Dustin swam out and kept Fitzpatrick calm before more help could arrive and get him to shore.Fitzpatrick is hoping to reunite with his mystery rescuer to say thank you."The humanity that comes from an act of kindness like this, from a perfect stranger," Fitzpatrick said. 892

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A San Diego Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent accused of pointing a gun at a man in East County was charged Tuesday.Investigators said Agent Ed Zuchelli waved the gun at a young man who was riding a dirt bike in Lake Murray on February 16.Zuchelli is also accused of driving drunk. San Diego Police confirm he was in a government-issued vehicle at the time of the arrest.
