(KGTV) - A La Mesa woman is on the hunt for clues, after she made a startling discovery near a sidewalk during a walk.Along scenic Explorer Road, Patty Serrano was finishing up a walk with a friend one afternoon two Fridays ago, when something on the ground caught her eye."First of all shock. Why is this on the ground? I picked it up. The ship attached to this certificate was the U.S.S. LITCHFIELD PARK, Arizona — Officials from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office say an 11-year-old boy shot and killed his grandmother then turned the gun on himself in Litchfield Park on Saturday evening. According to MCSO, just after 5 p.m., deputies received a call from a man near Litchfield Road and Wigwam Boulevard who reported that his grandson had shot and killed his wife, 65-year-old Yvonne Woodard and then shot and killed himself.The grandfather told deputies that he and his wife had full custody of their grandson. The couple reportedly asked the grandson to clean his room and pick up after himself throughout the day as he was "being stubborn about it."Officials say the two then sat down on their couch in the living room to watch television. The grandson then reportedly came up behind them and shot Yvonne in the back of the head with a gun that belonged to the grandfather. The grandfather then ran after the grandson but quickly returned to render aid to his wife. Moments later he reported that the grandson had then shot himself.At that point, the grandfather retrieved the gun and called 9-1-1. "In the preliminary stages of this investigation there had been no previous signs that the grandson might harm someone or himself and there was no cause for concern prior to this event," MCSO said in a news release. The investigation remains ongoing at this time. 1425

Lake Charles Police Chief Shawn Caldwell says that in five people have died from carbon monoxide poisoning while using a generator.Caldwell says that generator safety is important and asks that residents keep generators away from covered areas of homes."Don't let a generator cost you your life," Caldwell said.The generator was inside an attached garage and the door was partially open. The level of carbon monoxide caused the deaths of all five inside the home.A total six people have died from carbon monoxide poisoning since Hurricane Laura has passed.Electricity is expected to remain out for days or even weeks throughout Louisiana following the hurricane. 670
