SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for an at-risk man who disappeared from a senior living facility late Saturday afternoon. According to police, 77-year-old Mario Aello left The Shores Post-Acute senior living facility around 4:45 p.m. Saturday. Aello reportedly told another patient he had plans to leave the facility to visit his sister in Sonora, Mexico. Aello suffers from short-term dementia and type two diabetes, police say. Aello is described as five feet, seven inches tall with brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, a black and gray jacket, blue shorts and brown shoes. 610
SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person is dead after a shooting in the Mountain View area Wednesday.San Diego Police responded to reports of a shooting just before 3 p.m. in the 3500 block of Florence Lane. Officers arrived to find a victim in an alley suffering from a gunshot wound, according to City News Service.The victim, described only as a male, was pronounced dead at the scene.The suspected shooter was described as a man who appeared in his 30s, wearing shots and a black tank top. He seen fleeing the area with another person in a silver Dodge Ram pickup or similar truck, CNS reported.SDPD is investigating. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person was killed and another person was in critical condition following a shooting in Shelltown early Saturday.The shooting was reported at about 1:30 a.m. near Epsilon St. and 42nd St., according to San Diego Police. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a driver who reportedly hit two people crossing the street in East Village before running away. According to San Diego Police, the incident happened on the 300 block of 14th Street around 12:20 a.m. Sunday. Police say a 24-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were crossing 14th street in an unmarked crosswalk when the driver of a Ford Mustang attempted to make a U-turn, lost control and hit the pair. The crash left the woman pinned against the wall with a fractured hip and the man with abrasions, according to police. The driver ran away from the scene on foot and has yet to be located, police say. 658
SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police Wednesday identified the Border Patrol agents and suspect they say knocked an agent off his ATV before being shot.Agents Micah Owens and Brandon Brandt reportedly shot the suspect, Francisco Javier Gutierrez-Alvarado, during the incident.Alvarado was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and no agents were seriously injured, police say.RELATED: Man shot by Border Patrol after knocking agent off ATV with rock, authorities sayDuring an initial investigation, authorities learned that a Border Patrol agent was on patrol on an ATV in the area of Spooner’s Mesa when he was hit with a rock and knocked off the vehicle by Alvarado.The suspect rode away on the ATV and was chased by several other agents before losing control and crashing into a fence.During the chase, both agents reportedly shot at Alvarado, striking him at least once.
