CLARENCE STRAIT, Alaska -- A deer is back on dry land, thanks to the U.S. Coast Guard in Alaska.A crew was patrolling the Clarence Strait, off Alaska’s southern coast, when they spotted a deer in the water.The animal was caught in a current and struggling in the 49 degree water.The Coast Guard crew slowed their boat and got close enough the deer could swim up to them. They pulled the animal onboard and brought it back to dry land to be released. 457

Consumers are being warned that some over-the-counter teething products for babies can pose a serious risk.The Food and Drug Administration announced Wednesday that oral health products for infants containing the pain reliever benzocaine for the temporary relief of sore gums should not be marketed or sold."If companies do not comply, the FDA will initiate a regulatory action to remove these products from the market. Also, the agency is requesting that companies add new warnings to all other benzocaine oral health products to describe certain serious risks," the FDA message says.Products with benzocaine post "serious safety risks," the FDA says. The FDA is taking steps to stop use of these products in young children and raise awareness of the risks associated with other uses of benzocaine oral health products. COSTA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Korean-made vehicles rank at the top of the list for quality in 2019 while many other brands haven't improved, according to a new report by J.D. Power. The report also found that problems with driver assistance systems are increasing as the advance systems become more common. Overall, the highest-ranking brands include Genesis, Kia and Hyundai, which are all produced by Korean manufacturer Hyundai Motor Group. Domestic brands like Ford, Lincoln, Chevrolet, Dodge and Buick all performed better than the industry average, but overall are close to the average as far as quality. According to the report, all European brands fell below average for quality, especially falling behind in infotainment and electronic categories. Customers at Starbucks will have new ways to pay for their drinks and food while still earning stars in their rewards program.The changes to the Starbucks Rewards loyalty program begin Tuesday, September 15.Customers have complained for years about the need to reload their Starbucks card in order to spend money at the coffee giant and earn loyalty stars. In order for customers to earn stars in their loyalty program, customers had to use a Starbucks card or gift card to pay. This forced regular customers to constantly reload their card to ensure there was enough money for their purchases.Starting Tuesday, alternative ways to pay will be allowed and still allow members to earn stars for purchases. Alternative methods include debit/credit cards, cash, and select mobile wallets.However, there’s a catch.Customers paying with their Starbucks card or gift card will earn two loyalty stars per spent, and those paying with alternative methods will earn one star per spent. 990
