A Trump administration official leading the response to the coronavirus pandemic says the U.S. can expect delivery of a vaccine starting in January 2021, despite statements from the president that inoculations could begin this month.Dr. Robert Kadlec said in an email Friday that the administration "is accelerating production of safe and effective vaccines ... to ensure delivery starting January 2021." A patient in Minnesota who had COVID-19, and attended the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota, has died, the Minnesota Health Department confirmed to E.W. Scripps.The Washington Post reported that this is the first death from the virus that was linked back to the rally.In an email to E.W. Scripps, a spokesman for the Minnesota Department of Health said the patient was in their 60s and had underlying health conditions "as do many people in that age group."The spokesman said the patient had been hospitalized in the intensive care unit.The 10-day event ended on Aug. 16.According to the Associated Press, health departments in at least eight states are also trying to track virus outbreaks.At least 260 cases in 11 states can be tied directly to the event, the Washington Post reported. 802

A Milwaukee County bus crashed near a busy college campus on Tuesday.The bus crashed near Johnston Hall on Marquette's campus in downtown Milwaukee.The Milwaukee Fire Department says at around 5:15 p.m. a Route 12 bus lost control while turning left. The bus ended up on the sidewalk near Gesu Church. Marquette Police said five people sustained non-life-threatening injuries. MU police also said the bus hit Johnston Hall and caused damage to the front of the building.
