BEIJING, June 26 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisor Wang Yang has called for promoting the theoretical, practical and institutional innovations of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
Describing energy cooperation as the "most significant, most fruitful and most wide-ranging" area of bilateral cooperation, Xi said the two sides' close coordination has played a positive role in safeguarding the fair, just, reasonable and orderly international energy order.
The 18th Shangri-La Dialogue, officially known as the Asia Security Summit, opened Friday with participants discussing the security situation and its challenges in the Asia-Pacific region. The dialogue has been held by the British think tank International Institute for Strategic Studies and the Singaporean government annually since 2002.
"As the markets between cities and the rural areas become increasingly intertwined, the agricultural resources are becoming more valuable, and agricultural modernization is gaining steam in the countryside," said Yi Yongbo, a local agricultural official in Jiangxi.
In fact, under the guidance of its bedrock principle -- the Shanghai Spirit, the SCO has been steadily advancing to achieve the goal. It has become an influential force in combating the "three evil forces" of terrorism, separatism and extremism, as well as in cracking down on cross-border and cyber crimes.
