A van slammed into a crowd Saturday in an apparently deliberate act in the German city of Muenster, killing two people and leaving 20 others injured, officials said.The driver also shot and killed himself, a police spokeswoman said. The driver was a German citizen, said Herbert Reul, state minister for internal affairs in North Rhine-Westphalia state.Authorities are treating the incident as an attack. There is no known connection to radical Islam but investigators are still looking into the driver's background, Reul said.Police earlier said there were three deaths. Reul clarified later Saturday that the total included the attacker.Muenster police spokesman Andreas Bode said law enforcement is looking into witness reports that some people fled the attacker's van after the attack. A Middle Tennessee woman visiting Gatlinburg with her family got quite a surprise when she found a bear outside their hotel.  Kim Vastola, of Watertown was in Gatlinburg for her son’s baseball tournament and was staying on the first floor of a Quality Inn.Vastola was startled when she heard people yelling about a bear. She went outside and captured video of the bear on a tree behind the hotel before he made his way around the building.  Vastola said the person at the front desk told her the "town bear" – named Robert – was lurking around but there was no need to be alarmed.Apparently, “Robert” lives in the area and roams when he comes out of hibernation. A suspected suicide bombing at a wedding hall in the Afghan capital, Kabul, has killed 40 people and injured dozens more, officials say.The blast ripped through a venue near the city's international airport, where a gathering of religious scholars was taking place, the Afghan interior ministry said. The blast occurred around 6:15 p.m. local time, police said.It was likely caused by a suicide attack, according to Najib Danish, spokesman for the Afghan Ministry of the Interior. The gathering was being held to mark the birthday of the Prophet Mohammed, he said.At least 60 people were injured, the health ministry reported.The security situation in Kabul has deteriorated sharply in the past year.In August, at least 34 people were killed in an attack which targeted an education center. A vintage plane crashed in the Swiss Alps on Saturday, killing all 20 people on board, police said.The mid-century plane, a Junkers JU-52, crashed in the Piz Segnas mountain range, near the Austrian border.All 17 passengers and three crew members died in the crash, which happened around 5 p.m. local time. They were aged between 42 and 84. 348

A man was chased and shot with a stun gun after exposing himself inside a Phoenix Walmart.Phoenix police report that on April 8, an off-duty uniformed officer noticed a man exposing himself, while inside the store. The officer called for backup and watched as 21-year-old Juan Castro Torres, exposed and touched himself while observing female customers. Police contacted Torres as he left the store, but he fought with the officers and broke free, running back into the store. Police pursued Torres up and down the aisles until he was shot with a stun gun and taken into custody. Torres has been charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest. 692
