It is unclear exactly how many people were wounded.Police say there is no confirmation of an arrest after Mayor Sam Liccardo said on Twitter that a suspect had been captured, but later deleted the tweet.Bay Area TV station KTVU also reported that a 22-year-old man was apprehended.Police say no services were taking place at the time of the stabbing, but that homeless people had been brought to the church to take shelter from the cold. 644

SAN MARCOS, Calif. (KGTV) - A driver told 10News she was terrified as she crashed through the front of a San Marcos doggy daycare Friday morning. The crash happened at Sandy Pawz, 630 Nordahl Road, as a crowd looked on. The driver was reportedly distracted by her own dog. “She decided to help me drive, and jumped up,” said the woman who only wanted to be identified as Robin. “Everything was crashing down on my windshield and I didn't know what was in front of me.” The car went past the front lobby and through drywall into a second room. “I consider myself a very smart person but I froze out of fear...fear, and then I thought I was going to die.” No pets or people were harmed. SAN MARCOS, Calif. (KGTV) - Several white nationalist posters were discovered at California State University San Marcos, campus officials said Tuesday.The posters, which were found at various locations Monday, advertised a group that is identified by multiple civil rights organizations as a hate group, according to CSUSM.According to the university, the group responsible for putting up the posters, Identity Evropa, is the same group that put up posters at SDSU in February. The university believes the timing of the posters is connected to the Pittsburgh shooting.University Police removed the posters, which violated the college’s posting policy, officials said. The college is investigating the matter.“While we grieve for the victims and offer our support to those impacted – the survivors, their friends, family members and loved ones – I want to be clear: White supremacy and anti-Semitism, or any other doctrines that expose hate and elevate one group above another, have no place at Cal State San Marcos,” said CSUSM President Karen Haynes in a news release.“We strongly condemn language and actions that promote racism, anti-Semitism, homophobia, violence, discrimination and other forms of hate. SANTEE, Calif. (KGTV) - A local woman says her heart stopped when she saw what someone nearly sat on at a popular trail in Santee.Angie Haake was just beginning her usual dog walk last Thursday morning near the entrance of Walker Preserve Trail, when she noticed two upset women on the phone talking to deputies.  Haake asked them what was going on and they showed her a razor blade on the bench."I was shocked when it saw it. Obviously whoever put it there wanted someone to sit down and slice the back of their thighs. It's cruel and hateful," said Haake.The discovery was not the first.  Another trail goer tells 10news about three weeks ago, she found a similar blade near another bench.  In November 2016, 10news spoke with a mother at Mast Park in Santee, who found dozens of tacks placed sharp-side up underneath leaves.10news reached out to deputies to find out how many reports of similar cases there have been on the trail, but have yet to hear back. 983
