(KGTV) - A Southern California storm system brought rain, hail, sleet, and snow to area valleys, mountains, and deserts.Snow is expected above 2,500 feet, while numerous showers and some hail, are expected along the coast and in valleys.In Los Angeles, the storm is expected to bring only a chance of showers Tuesday. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the region until 10 p.m. Tuesday.Just North of Los Angeles, Grapevine will have a 40 percent chance of showers most of Tuesday, decreasing to a 20 percent chance of showers later in the day. (KGTV) — Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, said a new ad featuring him on behalf of President Trump's coronavirus response was taken out of context.Fauci told CNN in a statement that the ad, which features a clip of Fauci, took his words out of context for the benefit of President Trump. Fauci said he didn't consent to be featured in the ad and that he doesn't provide any political endorsements.In the ad, the clip shows Fauci during an interview saying, "I can't imagine that anybody could be doing more.""In my nearly five decades of public service, I have never publicly endorsed any political candidate. The comments attributed to me without my permission in the GOP campaign ad were taken out of context from a broad statement I made months ago about the efforts of federal public health officials," Fauci said.According to CNN, Fauci's comments were from a March interview with Fox News, in which he comments on the White House's coronavirus task force for its round-the-clock effort to respond to the pandemic.For context, Fauci's quote described the task force's work as: "We've never had a threat like this. The coordinated response has been ...There are a number of adjectives to describe it -- impressive, I think is one of them. We're talking about all hands on deck. (KGTV) - A Southern California police department's Facebook post is igniting the online debate over panhandling.Ventura Police posted a video on their Facebook page Wednesday discouraging locals not to give to panhandlers and to give to charities instead."Want to help those in need in our community? Please say no to panhandling and yes to charities," Ventura Police's post read. "Giving money to panhandlers often feeds addictions and does not help someone get long-term help."The video features a silent officer holding various signs reading things like "want to help?" and then "please don't give to panhandlers."Comments on the viral video have ranged from supportive to not, some claiming that charities are not enough to solve the issue. (KGTV) — A family forced to flee Paradise, Calif., because of the Camp Fire finally returned home after nearly a month this week to find their faithful canine had survived and guarding their charred property.Andrea Gaylord was evacuated on Nov. 8 but only allowed back to her property Wednesday, according to group K9 Paw Print Rescue. Her property had burned in the fire. During the evacuation, Gaylord was unable to get to her dog, Madison, before the flames had spread through the town and forced her out, according to the rescue group.Animal rescuer, Shayla Sullivan, responded to Gaylord's request to check on Madison, first spotting the Anatolian shepherd just days after the fire began. Madison, however, kept his distance, according to Sullivan, who was already in the area searching for other lost pets.Sullivan decided to leave food and water regularly at the property for Madison until Gaylord was able to return, the animal group wrote.As Gaylord pulled up Wednesday, there sat Madison — being a very good boy."He had stayed to protect what was left of his home, and never gave up on his people! I’m so happy I’m crying as I write this! He didn’t give up through the storms or the fire! A long [sp] month it must have been for him!" Sullivan wrote on Facebook. 1280
