The Los Angeles Police Department has identified and arrested a suspect in the shooting death of rapper Nipsey Hussle.Eric Holder, 29, was arrested for homicide, the LAPD announced on Tuesday.Hussle was shot Sunday near a clothing store he owned in Los Angeles. In a statement, police said Holder walked up to Hussle and two other men as they stood outside a business in a strip mall on West Slauson Boulevard. He fired multiple times at them and then ran to a nearby alley where a vehicle -- "driven by an unidentified female" -- was waiting for him, police said. The list of places intended for sporting events, entertainment, and other everyday activities, that are instead being used as temporary hospitals just got longer. On Tuesday, work began to convert the indoor tennis center at the Billie Jean King U.S. Open facility into a 350-bed temporary hospital. It joins a group of nine locations in or near New York City being converted into temporary hospitals. All but one of the temporary facilities are intended to handle non-coronavirus patients. The Inspector General released a report on Tuesday that contained photos of severe overcrowding inside two Texas border processing centers. The Inspector General toured the facilities during the week of June 10. In the report, inspectors expressed concern over the safety and health of both agents and detainees. “We are concerned that overcrowding and prolonged detention represent an immediate risk to the health and safety of DHS agents and officers, and to those detained,” the report said. “At the time of our visits, Border Management told us there had already been security incidents among adult males at multiple facilities. TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran's government says 12 people have died nationwide from COVID-19, commonly known as coronavirus, and it has rejected claims of a much higher death toll by a lawmaker from the city of Qom that has been at the epicenter of the virus in the country. The conflicting reports raised questions about the Iranian government’s transparency concerning the scale of the outbreak. Iran's Health Ministry said total infections have risen to 61 while deaths stood at 12. However, a lawmaker from Qom was quoted by a semi-official news agency as saying the death toll was 50.
