SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Some Point Loma Nazarene University students have been told to shelter in place after a cluster of students tested positive for coronavirus.The university says it’s seen an increase of 12 cases. According to the school, 50 students were identified as close contacts.“A cluster of cases and potential exposures have been identified in the following dorm floors:Klassen Hall - 3rd North: three positive cases in isolation Hendricks Hall - 1st South: four positive cases in isolation Young Hall - 4th Floor: three positive cases in isolation Per university protocol, these positive cases are already in isolation in specific university housing outside of the potentially impacted floors,” the school said.The university says it is also monitoring two unrelated cases in Nease Hall.Read the full letter from the school below: 849

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego State University is warning students that they will need to be re-vaccinated against meningitis after Walgreens gave out shots at non-optimal temperature.According to The Daily Aztec, Walgreens recently discovered that the meningococcus B vaccines, given to 350 students on October 5 and 8, weren’t given at the right temperature.The company says its reaching out to students who received them. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego's museums received a glimmer of hope following the reveal of California's new guidance.That's because San Diego County was placed in the second tier, "substantial." Now, several businesses will have to opportunity to reopen, as they did in June, with modifications indoors.The San Diego Air and Space Museum announced it plans to reopen on Monday. When the museum reopened in June, staff implemented safety policies including capacity limits, social distancing, facemasks for guests and employees, hand sanitizer stations, and continuous cleaning. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police released a composite sketch Wednesday in the search for a man who carjacked a woman at Fashion Valley Mall. The 57-year-old victim was walking to her car in the west parking lot near JCPenney Monday at 1:45 p.m. when the man approached her from behind, police said. The man put a knife to the woman’s neck and demanded her car keys and wallet. Officers said she turned over the items, at which point the man got into her 2017 white Nissan Sentra and drove away. The Sentra was later recovered, according to police.
