Apple announced on Friday that it is planning to temporarily close several of its locations in four states as the number of coronavirus cases in some US states are surging.Apple said that two stores in Florida, two in North Carolina, one in South Carolina and six in Arizona will be closed until further notice. An Iowa grandmother won half the 7 million Powerball prize and she didn't even know it at first.Lerynne West, 51, bought her tickets at Casey's General Store in the small town of Redfield, Iowa, while grabbing pizza and coffee with her sister. She said it was a special day because she had bought her first home and was moving in that day.West thought she put the lottery ticket in her purse, but she accidentally left it on the floor of her sister's truck. It lay there for a couple days.When a friend texted the day after the drawing to ask if she had won, West said she hadn't had a chance to check. She rifled through her purse and realized she didn't have the ticket. She quickly called her sister, who found it.West looked at the photo of the ticket her sister sent her and checked the numbers on the lottery's website -- she had won!"I told my sister to get in her truck and get that ticket and get up here right now! And, drive slow," West said in an Iowa Lottery press release.West's ticket and a ticket purchased in New York split the 7 million Powerball jackpot in the October 27 drawing. The holder of the New York ticket has not come forward, according to the Iowa Lottery.West opted to take home 8.1 million in a lump sum, minus what's taken out in taxes. ANDERSON, Indiana — An inmate on work release in an Indiana county is accused of stealing election equipment. The Madison County Clerk says no voting was compromised. Indiana State Police said Tyler Sink, 26, was on work release in Madison County and was authorized to work at the clerk's office. Investigators said an employee with the Madison County Justice Center told police they found a personal electronic ballot and a memory card hidden in Sink's personal belongings. State police say they believe Sink stole the equipment after he volunteered to set up a voting site while on work release. Madison County Clerk Darlene Likens says the compromised machines are not being used in early voting and that no voter information was stolen. "There is nothing, nothing was compromised," said Likens. An Uber driver in Arizona said he pulled up to give a ride Easter morning and ended up with an AR-15 assault rifle in his face. Edward Martinez said two men called for a ride and while he waited at the curb, a third man came out of the house with no shirt and a gun. "He points it at me and says, 'call 9-1-1,"' said Martinez. Not knowing what was happening, Martinez started dialing and talking to the 9-1-1 dispatcher, and the guy with the gun went back inside. In the meantime, he said the two riders got in his car and told him not to worry about the guy with the gun. About that time, the man with the gun returned. "That's when he put a round in the chamber," said Martinez. "The [passenger] door was open... and then he had the weapon, it was about [half way] in the car, and I just took off."Martinez drove to a Quick Trip. He said his passengers tossed something out the window on the way and disappeared when he parked to wait for El Mirage police. An El Mirage officer ended up arresting the armed man, 25-year-old Nicholas Brasseur. Police searched his home and wrote in the police report that they found drugs and 25 AR-15 assault rifles.  "My profession is manufacturing AR-15s," Brasseur told the court at his initial appearance. The judge informed him that he would not be allowed to continue working with weapons or be in possession of any weapons while awaiting a resolution to the charges, which include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possessing or using a weapon during a drug offense.       Martinez said he reported the incident to Uber but has not received a followup call. "I'm missing work.
