(KGTV) -- Sweetwater Unified School District officials said Thursday they are investigating an incident in which someone disrupted an online classroom by playing inappropriate audio.According to a district spokesperson, the incident happened Wednesday during a session taught by an Olympian High School teacher. The incident was reported by both a student and the teacher.Audio described as "sexual" in nature was played in the virtual classroom.District spokesperson Manny Rubio told 10News that the source of the audio is unlikely to be a hacker, and that a student or students cooperated in the disruption."Each course has an access code and we believe there are other students using those codes to enter and create disruptions," said Rubio. "Our IT staff is looking to identify the specific sources."It's unknown if the school or district requires students to use cameras to attend the online classroom.The district's 25 campuses matriculated over 40,000 students for online classes this school year, which started Monday. Students have been assigned equipment and software to access their virtual classes, including Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. Rubio said that since Monday, there have a few similar incidences of disruption but that a great majority of students are having positive experiences. CHULA VISTA (CNS) - After initially rescheduling concerts -- including a Chula Vista appearance -- while he recovers from surgery, rocker Ozzy Osbourne announced Thursday he has been forced to postpone all of the remaining North American shows on his "No More Tours 2" tour until next year.Osbourne was originally set to perform at the Mattress Firm Amphitheatre on Tuesday, but the show was pushed back until Oct. 18 because he was being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for infections on his right hand. (KGTV) -- The Chula Vista Police Department received a nearly 0,000 grant to help fight human trafficking, the Department of Justice announced Tuesday.According to the department, Chula Vista Police is the only local law enforcement department in California to receive the grant.The money was granted to the department through the Department’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) Community Policing Development (CPD) Microgrants Program.“Additional funds to respond to the threat of human trafficking are particularly important now,” said U.S. Attorney Robert Brewer. “The coronavirus pandemic has young people spending countless hours on their phones, and unfortunately this renders them prey for human traffickers who exploit social media.” “The CPD Microgrants Program is a critical resource to advance innovative community policing projects across the country,” said COPS Office Director Phil Keith. “These strategic investments from the COPS Office pay huge dividends to state and local law enforcement agencies and the communities that they serve.”A total of 29 law enforcement agencies throughout the country were awarded similar grants.According to the DOJ, the money is granted to departments to improve enforcement in the following areas:? Over the summer, the company started testing out a meal kit service.Chick-fil-A believes people think about food the way they think about shopping: Why go to a store when you can order online? To stay ahead of that trend, Chick-fil-A is getting creative about how to reach people at home, work and parties — and it's miles ahead of the competition."Our mission is to be convenient," said Luke Pipkin, who works on innovation within the company's Beyond the Restaurant team, which is dedicated to exploring off-premise opportunities like delivery, catering and meal kits.The new restaurants don't have dining rooms, so the locations have larger kitchens. They're also cash-free: Customers have to use DoorDash or a credit or debit card. Chick-fil-A encourages customers to order directly from its mobile app. And Chick-fil-A put the locations by highways and major roads in Nashville and Louisville to facilitate deliveries.That makes the test locations "pretty differentiated from our regular restaurants," Pipkin said.Chick-fil-A isn't alone: All fast food companies are trying to figure out ways to reach people at home and get more customers to use their apps.Nearly two-thirds of consumers say that more fast food restaurants should offer delivery and takeout options, according to research company Mintel. CHULA VISTA (CNS) - Detectives worked Friday to determine who fatally shot a man in a South Bay parking lot, apparently during a quarrel over a dog.Patrol officers responding to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Interstate 5 and state Route 54 shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday found Corey McCastle, 41, on the ground in the 700 block of E Street in Chula Vista, suffering from bullet wounds, according to police.Paramedics took McCastle to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead."The motive for the shooting remains unknown," Lt. Dan Peak said. "However, it is believed McCastle had gone to the location to speak with an unknown individual regarding a dispute over a dog."The shooter was described only as a man dressed in dark-colored clothes and armed with a handgun.Further details on the disagreement that apparently led to the slaying was not immediately available. 888
