His "I Have A Dream" speech represented a watershed moment in the Civil Rights movement.On Friday — the same day that a new generation marched on Washington to support Black lives — King's speech was released as a digital single, making it available to stream on many music platforms.Legendary music label Motown originally recorded King's speech on Aug. 28, 1963. According to The Detroit Free Press, Billie Jean Brown of Motown recorded the address live with "top-end audio gear and professional engineers," not knowing the impact the speech would have on history. The recording is reportedly one of the highest-quality recordings of the speech in existence.In addition to releasing the speech as a single, Motown also released lost footage of a Coretta Scott King's appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in 1970, and a "March On Washington Playlist" featuring tracks from Black artists like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Kendrick Lamar. 1116

(AP) — An elementary school superintendent in Central California says he allowed a janitor to wear a mask and carry a fake gun during an active shooter drill to "make sure this was realistic."A teacher told KSEE-TV that the drill, which happened at Raisin City Elementary School before the summer break, went too far.Kim Copper said the masked gunman pounded on her classroom door and tried to open it as she huddled in a corner with terrified students.School Superintendent Juan Sandoval admitted teachers and students were not told about the janitor's role. Former MLB players Luis Valbuena and Jose Castillo have been killed in a car crash in Venezuela, according to multiple media reports.  The two were teammates on a winter ball team in Venezuela at the time of the crash on Thursday. Castillo was 37 at the time of his death and finished his career with the Houston Astros. Valbuena, 33, most recently played for the Los Angeles Angels and was a sought after free agent in this MLB offseason.Details on what led up to the crash have not yet been released.   547
