SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The man accused of opening fire into a Hillcrest business has been found incompetent to stand trial. Stefano Markell Parker, 29, was facing attempted murder charges in San Diego in connection with the shooting at Golden Dragon Asian Bistro in February of 2019. Witnesses in the area that night described a man they say stood outside the restaurant armed with a rifle and opened fire. No one was shot. Witnesses say the gunman then changed clothes, providing a description. Police arrested Parker in the area later in the night. A spokesperson at the Jefferson County Jail in Alabama previously confirmed to 10News that Parker was in custody in recent years. In 2016, he was arrested in Alabama for possession of marijuana and drug trafficking charges. In 2017, he faced charges of distributing methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. Court records also show that Parker faced capital murder charges when he was a teenager in connection with a shooting from a vehicle. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The Historic Balboa Theatre will be celebrating a milestone Monday night. The famed venue will host a party in honor of its 95th birthday. The celebration will pay special tribute to the USO in a performance produced by Ric Henry, a San Diego song-and-dance sensation. The musical review will depict the musical history of the USO from the 1940s to the present. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The man accused of killing his stepmother and burying her body in the backyard of a Tijuana home pleaded guilty to unrelated drug charges Tuesday. Aaron Seth Juarez, 20, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin for sale and agreed to a two-year state prison sentence. Juarez was taken into custody in San Diego earlier this month for probation violations. To help, groups have stepped up to accept donations to give to the people who have been displaced.
