A gun rights group is cheering the Trump administration’s designation of the firearms industry, including retailers, as part of the nation’s critical infrastructure during the coronavirus emergency.The designation by the federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency is advisory. A dad is credited with rescuing his daughter Sunday after she was allegedly grabbed by a woman at a south Phoenix park. Phoenix police report that on Sunday afternoon, 43-year-old Denise Charlene Antone grabbed a 7-year-old girl at a park and wouldn't let her go.Police say Antone appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time. She allegedly grabbed the girl and refused to let her go, until the girl's father intervened. He demanded Antone release his daughter, which she eventually did. Antone was arrested for aggravated assault. 557

A Boston Red Sox plane has picked up legendary slugger David Ortiz from the Dominican Republic and is flying him to Boston, said Sam Kennedy, the team's president and CEO.Ortiz, 43, left the hospital, the Clinica Abel Gonzalez, in an ambulance Monday. Ortiz will be taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, Kennedy said.Ortiz was shot in the back Sunday night and "the bullet went through his stomach," Felix Durán Mejia, a spokesman for the national police, told CNN. Kennedy said Ortiz's condition is serious, but he's stable enough to be flown.Police said Ortiz was shot at a nightclub in his native Santo Domingo.
