Sessions was the first Republican senator to endorse Trump as a presidential contender.Speculation that Trump may soon dismiss Sessions has increased in recent days as the two men trade snipes.Meanwhile, Republican senators have shown new openness to a new attorney general. But they have pressured Trump to wait until after the midterm elections in November. Bloomberg said Trump declined to comment when asked if he would keep Sessions past then.He told the news service he considers special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation to be an "illegal."Asked if he would comply with a subpoena from Mueller, Trump said, "I'll see what happens" and added: "I view it differently. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Rainwater run-off from the Tijuana River flooded parts of Monument Road, Thursday afternoon. Just up the hill is the border fence that separates Mexico and the United States. But that does not stop debris from flowing into San Diego. Residents in the area say this flooding happens every time it rains. Precipitation means the Tijuana River Diverter gets shut down, which brings in millions of gallons of stormwater run-off, including trash, raw sewage, chemicals, and diseases. To many, the stench is unbearable. “There’s a tire factory that’s dumping chemicals down there. There’s a car battery company dumping chemicals, you have every chemical and disease coming through here, and our poor Border Patrol has to go through it," resident, James Martin said. US Border Patrol's Swift Water Response team closed off Monument Road earlier in the afternoon, while monitoring the flow from above. Because of this toxic run-off, San Diego County announced they have block access to all beaches in the South Bay. Adam Schiff said on CNN's "State of the Union."On Friday, District Judge T.S. Ellis?caught the attention of many, including President Donald Trump, when he said special counsel Robert Mueller's team was interested in going after Trump's former campaign manager in a bank fraud case in order to get at Trump. Mueller's team is investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 election and any potential ties between Russia and Trump campaign associates.Schiff questioned some of Ellis' statements, adding that nevertheless, Mueller's decisions on who to charge rested on firm legal ground."I'm not sure that it's germane, for example, for the judge to be asking how much Bob Mueller has spent on the investigation," Schiff said. "It's appropriate to ask about the scope of what Bob Mueller is doing, but he is well within the scope of his jurisdiction in charging Manafort and (former national security adviser Michael) Flynn and the others."Ellis' pointed comments came after Manafort asked the judge to review Mueller's authority to bring charges in an investigation that began well before the special counsel's appointment and focused on actions years before the campaign.Schiff said that although he was concerned about the judge's statements, he believed Mueller would nevertheless prevail."I think that Bob Mueller will prevail in the sense of being able to go forward with this litigation," Schiff said.
