BEIJING, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday, voicing support for the work of the UN.
After Serbia and Poland, the Chinese president will travel to Uzbekistan for a state visit as well as the 16th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of State in Tashkent.
The member states said they are committed to further strengthening the central coordinating role of the UN in international relations, and support consultations in search of a "package solution" to the reform of the UN Security Council.
For his part, Elbegdorj said the development plan on the economic corridor linking the three countries is very important, adding that Mongolia stands ready to join hands with China and Russia to advance the construction of transportation infrastructure and strengthen economic cooperation in border regions.
Earlier in the day, Xi arrived in Belgrade for a state visit to Serbia. It is the first state visit by a Chinese head of state to Serbia in 32 years, and Xi's second trip to Central and Eastern Europe in less than three months.
