CINCINNATI – Police arrested a Cincinnati woman Tuesday after she left her 7-month-old child in her vehicle while she visited a hair salon, according to court records.Jaimyce McClinton, 37, is charged with one count of endangering a child.An officer found McClinton's baby locked in the vehicle as the temperature outside reached 76 degrees, court records state.The arresting officer noted the “feels like” temperature outside was 84 degrees.Police said the baby was left alone in the locked vehicle for 34 minutes.Court records did not state the baby’s condition or the location of the salon. 611

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A pedestrian died Friday night following a crash along Main Street in Chula Vista, police say. According to police, the incident happened near the intersection of Main Street and Del Monte Avenue around 9:30 p.m.After arriving on scene, officers found the injured man in the eastbound lane of Main Street. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.At this time, the circumstances of the crash are under investigation, but the department says the driver stayed on scene and cooperated.Alcohol isn’t believed to be a factor in the crash, police say. CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A card room in Chula Vista has built an elaborate outdoor facility as a way to continue its business and comply with San Diego County COVID-19 pandemic-related health guidelines.Seven Mile Casino’s new “card room” is actually a 5,500-square-foot tent, complete with tables distanced six feet apart, Plexiglass partitions to separate players, and touchless hand sanitizing stations around the tent.Before guests can enter the area, they must first go through a health screening. Staff and patrons must wear a face covering at all times while on the property.Seven Mile Casino spokesperson Brad Samuel said they’ve been working with health officials to make sure the casino meets all guidelines. They’re even using their cameras to help with contact tracing.Samuel added, "If someone was to get sick and say later, ‘I was at Seven Mile Casino,’ we can literally show that person and show authorities every single person that that person came into contact with … so they can be notified."Now that the casino has opened its doors, it means about 300 people also have jobs again. 1112

(AP) — One of two men convicted of stealing a firefighter's pickup truck during the deadliest wildfire in California history has been sentenced to 41 days in jail and three years of probation.The Chico Enterprise-Record reports Robert Depalma of Concow was also ordered to pay more than ,000 in restitution at his sentencing in Butte County Superior Court on Friday.Prosecutors said Depalma and William Erlbacher stole the truck from a California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection station on Nov. 8, when the wildfire broke out and largely leveled the town of Paradise and killed 86 people.Erlbacher admitted to taking the truck and Depalma admitted to driving it for several days. The vehicle was damaged and its license plate covered up when it was found in Chico. 799
