Bahn Bao on Camino Ruiz, the staff is busy making steamed Vietnamese buns, days after an unappetizing discovery. "Scared, anxiety, disbelief," said Travis Nguyen, who owns the restaurant.When she got in on Thursday morning, she found loose change all over and the drawer of the cash register gone. The surveillance video revealed what happened. Just before 3 a.m., a figure is seen crouched low, shining a flashlight into the restaurant. After a few moments, the man pries open the door and walks in."It appeared he used a homemade tool to break the panic bar. It took him only a few seconds to get in," said Lon Holliday of Convoy Street Locksmith, the company that repaired the door.In the video, the man quickly heads to the cash register, removes the drawer and about 0 in cash."He knows what he's doing. I think he's done this before," said Nguyen. After the thief is done in the front - and with a loud security alarm going off - the intruder heads towards the kitchen, where he looks around. He then goes into the walk-in cooler. He apparently doesn't like what he sees and takes off."He's in and out of the restaurant in under two minutes. He's quick," said Nguyen. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The California Highway Patrol said a person arrested at gunpoint on Interstate 15 in San Diego Thursday was suspected of driving illegally in the HOV lane and leading an officer on a pursuit.The chase happened on southbound I-15 just south of Aero Dr. at 5:30 p.m.Officers said the driver was in the high-occupancy vehicle lane and failed to pull over, leading to the brief pursuit.There are no reports of any injuries or a reason why the driver did not yield for the traffic stop.10News is monitoring developments in the story. 555

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The gloves are coming off in the race for San Diego County District Attorney, with a unlikely person taking shots at Genevieve Jones-Wright Friday.Rebecca Harrison, who said she’s the victim of a Balboa Park rapist, backed candidate Summer Stephan.At a news conference in front of the courthouse, Harrison said Jones-Wright, who was the public defender in the case, treated Harrison as if she was the one on trial.“Several weeks ago I found out that Genevieve was running for D.A. and it literally made me sick to my stomach. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The National Weather Service warned of minor coastal flooding ahead of a King Tide set to hit the San Diego County coastline Monday and Tuesday.The event forced the agency to issue a beach hazards statement from Sunday night through Tuesday evening.Surf will begin to build late Sunday, peaking Monday and Tuesday. By Tuesday night, the surf is expected to diminish, the agency said.High tides Monday will be 6.9 feet at 8 a.m. High tide on Tuesday will be 6.8 feet at 8:40 a.m.The agency warned that the King Tides will create water run-up into some beach parking lots and other low-lying areas.Beaches most prone to flooding include Sunset, Seal, Newport, Oceanside, Cardiff, La Jolla Shores and Imperial Beach.Elevated surf will also create strong rip currents and dangerous swimming conditions, the National Weather Service says. 861
