GRANT COUNTY, Ind. -- Two people are dead after two small planes crashed at an airport in Grant County Monday evening in Central Indiana.The crash happened around 5 p.m. at the Marion Municipal Airport off in Marion. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a single-engine Cessna 150 collided on the ground with a Cessna 525 CitationJet. Preliminary investigation indicates that the Cessna 150 was attempting to take off at 5:09 p.m. when it struck the tail of the Citation, which had just landed. "The airport in Marion does not have an air traffic control tower," the FAA said in a statement. "Pilots using the field are expected to announce their intentions on a common radio frequency and to coordinate with one another while on the ground and in the traffic pattern."The Cessna 150 was carrying two people and the Citation had five passengers on board. Grant County Coroner Chris Butche says two people were killed in the crash."FAA investigators are on their way to the scene, and the National Transportation Safety Board has been notified," the FAA said in a statement to RTV6. HAMILTON, Ohio -- Pharmacist's Mate 2nd Class Thomas Jesse Murphy was killed in action in 1943 during World War II. It took 75 years for his remains to be returned home.Murphy was just 22 when he was killed during the Battle of Tarawa in the Pacific theater, according to his obituary. Due to the large number of casualties, Murphy and many others were buried in hasty mass graves and not accounted for.His remains were finally identified last October. Murphy's niece, Chantel Oliver, remembers the phone call."Are these people for real? How do you know this is not fake? How do you know this is really happening? Then when I saw the Navy in my sister's living room, I realized this was happening," she said.A procession carried Murphy's remains from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to nearby Hamilton on Friday. "It's about Uncle Tommy," Oliver said. "Giving him his due."Murphy is being buried in a Hamilton cemetery, next to his family members."We have closure now that we have his remains brought back and laid to rest next to my grandfather," Oliver said.Barbara Holland with the group Honor and Remember knows what it's like to wait. Gina Haspel was confirmed Thursday to be the first female director of the CIA with the help of votes from a half-dozen Senate Democrats.Haspel was confirmed in a 54-45 vote, the culmination of a roller-coaster nomination that appeared to be in danger at several points after she was abruptly selected by President Donald Trump in March.Three Republicans opposed Haspel's nomination: Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky, Jeff Flake of Arizona and John McCain of Arizona, although McCain did not vote because he's battling brain cancer at home.But Haspel secured enough votes to win confirmation with the backing of six Democrats, including Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee.Most of the Democratic votes in favor of Haspel came from senators who are up for re-election in November in states that Trump won in 2016, including Sens.
