One day after Papa John's CEO John Schnatter claimed that decreased TV viewership in response to NFL player protests over racial inequality was causing a decline in business, Pizza Hut said on Thursday that NFL boycotts have not caused any decline in business. Yum Brands, parent company of Pizza Hut, held an investors' conference call on Thursday and declared same-store sales were up 3 percent. OCEANSIDE (CNS) - A fight between two men at a North County convenience store escalated Friday into a stabbing that left one of them hospitalized and the other under arrest, police said.The 9:30 a.m. fracas happened at the ampm [sic] minimart in the 1500 block of Melrose Drive, Oceanside police Lt. Just five months ago, he stated his aspiration to become a "professional school shooter."Yet on the morning of the massacre, the family that took the 19-year-old into their home didn't notice anything terribly strange about the young man's behavior, the family's attorney said Thursday.The only thing abnormal was that he didn't get up for his adult GED class. Normally, the father would take him to class on the way to work, but when they tried to wake Cruz up Wednesday, he said something like, "It's Valentine's Day.
