(KGTV) - A former model and actor this week accused Star Trek icon George Takei of sexually assaulting him.Scott R. Brunton claimed Takei took advantage of him in 1981 when Brunton, then 23, was going through a breakup, according to The Hollywood Reporter."This happened a long time ago, but I have never forgotten it," Brunton told The Hollywood Reporter. "It is one of those stories you tell with a group of people when people are recounting bizarre instances in their lives, this always comes up. (CNN) -- Retired NFL fullback Le'Ron McClain took to Twitter Saturday to plead for help dealing with head and brain troubles he said have resulted from playing football.In a series of emotional and expletive-filled tweets, McClain said his brain is tired and he needs to get his "head checked.""Need to tell my story of how my head is crazy and how football did it," McClain wrote. "Please someone help me get this out the @NFL puts paperwork in out (sic) faces and thats it."Reports show an increasing number of retired NFL players who have suffered repetitive hits to the head have developed memory and cognitive issues such as dementia, Alzheimer's, depression and chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). CTE is a degenerative disease of the brain and is associated with repeated head traumas like concussions.The NFL acknowledged a connection between football and CTE for the first time in 2016 and has since rolled out initiatives intended to increase the game's safety and to prevent and treat head injuries.But McClain said he hasn't received the treatment he needs and called on the NFL for help."I have to get my head checked. (KGTV) - In her new book, Elizabeth Smart says the man who kidnapped her also tried to kidnap a girl in El Cajon by posing as Mormon and befriending the girl’s family, according to People Magazine.Smart detailed Brian David Mitchell’s alleged plan in When There’s Hope: Healing, Moving Forward, and Never Giving Up. The book includes information about Smart’s abduction in 2002, when she was 14 years old. Smart was held captive by Mitchell and Wanda Barzee for nine months.Before Smart’s kidnapping, Mitchell deliberately went to a Mormon church in East County to find a girl to victimize, Smart wrote.
