GEORGIA — A tour bus carrying 18 passengers headed to watch golf at the Masters Tournament overturned Thursday morning, and the driver has been charged.The crash near Augusta happened just before 9 a.m. Eastern. The Georgia State Patrol said the driver has been charged with driving under the influence.The bus went off the right side of the road, GSP said in a release. The driver overcorrected and the vehicle overturned in a median on Interstate 20."Several of the passengers were transported to Doctors Hospital in Augusta with non-life threatening injuries," the report said.The driver of the bus was Steven F. Hoppenbrouwer, 61, of Gwinnett County, Georgia. He was charged with DUI and Failure to Maintain Lane.The bus is owned by Jet Executive Limousine, Inc. 789

Gina Haspel was confirmed Thursday to be the first female director of the CIA with the help of votes from a half-dozen Senate Democrats.Haspel was confirmed in a 54-45 vote, the culmination of a roller-coaster nomination that appeared to be in danger at several points after she was abruptly selected by President Donald Trump in March.Three Republicans opposed Haspel's nomination: Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky, Jeff Flake of Arizona and John McCain of Arizona, although McCain did not vote because he's battling brain cancer at home.But Haspel secured enough votes to win confirmation with the backing of six Democrats, including Virginia Sen. FULLERTON (CNS) - Disneyland's economic impact has jumped by 50% since 2013, according to a Cal State Fullerton study released Friday.The theme park had an .5 billion impact on the region and created more than 78,000 jobs as of the most recent fiscal year, according to a study of October 2017 through September of last year. Disneyland visitors spent .5 billion at local businesses outside the theme park, the study showed."Tourism is one of the major and growing segments of the economy as consumers shift more of their spending to leisure activities," said one of the study's leaders, Anil Puril, director of the university's Woods Center for Economic Analysis and Forecasting."Disneyland Resort has shown phenomenal growth," Puri added. "Disneyland Resort also plays an important role in propelling the economy forward through programs like Disney Aspire, a free education program, and other programs offering skills for economic mobility and advancement."Since 2013, Disneyland's job rate has grown at a 7.2% average annually, which is higher than the general job growth of 2.3% in the region, the study showed.
