One-time strangers are capturing the attention of tens of thousands of people on the internet.Their Virginia Beach photo shoot left many people hoping their on-camera chemistry develops into something more.Baxter Jackson says he “was not expecting somebody as beautiful as [her]” when he met Heather John. The nerves quickly settled for Jackson after he saw John for the first time during a “stranger session” photo shoot at Stumpy Lake Natural Area. The stranger session looks more like and engagement shoot to many people. When asked if they felt the chemistry, Johnson said, “If I say there was no chemistry, I’d be lying.”The photo shoot was Sunday and the pictures were posted Monday. More than 45,000 shares and 15,000 comments later, social media is captivated by the images and the idea that this is only this beginning.“I shared them and then I checked back probably 30 minutes later and I was like, 'Oh my goodness - this escalated really quickly!' I FaceTime him and I was like, 'Have you seen this? It’s wild!'” says John. The internet sounded off, saying divine intervention is at work and foreshadowing a future for the two.Photographer Cassie Bailey picked the pair after putting out an ad asking for a single male and female to do a stranger shoot.“I got home and edited [the pictures] and I was just like, ‘Am I ready to share this? What is going to happen?" says Bailey. The social media reaction has been overwhelmingly positive, but some have criticized the close contact of all three strangers during a pandemic. They say they felt safe because they all recently tested negative for coronavirus. “If we all tested negative, I felt that it was completely safe for us to work together for them to be as close for me to be up close to them,” says Bailey.Bailey likely won’t be doing anymore stranger session before returning home to Louisiana next month. As for Heather and Baxter, they say they are not dating - but they do have “at least three dates” planned. WTKR's Kofo Lasaki first reported this story. 2042

A new ad out Friday for the popular blood thinner Xarelto is different from prescription drug commercials we've seen in the past.At the end of the ad, it shows Xarelto has a list price of 8 a month. However, most patients pay between CISCO, Utah - In the Eastern Utah desert, the air is dry, and the cold is biting. Winter is coming, and the matron of town needs to prepare. “It’s good to push yourself, I think. It’s really easy to stay at home and watch movies and I think I was trying to avoid that,” said Eileen Muza, who owns Cisco, Utah. No Netflix for this woman of the wild west. Cisco, Utah, is a ghost town alright. It's an hour north of Moab, which is where you'll find the closest grocery store. It popped up in the 1880s as a saloon and filling stations for the railroad companies. Without the trains, it wouldn’t be there. Muza is the town's owner and the caretaker. “Even though everything here is sort of harsh, she’s sort of weirdly soft,” said Soren Hope, an artist staying with Muza. About five years ago, Muza bought some land, covered in old, disintegrating buildings and a few broke down automobiles. Muza wouldn't say how much land she owns or how much she paid for it, but the few parcels she owns is less than an acre and the county says it's worth less than a new car. There is running electricity, but no running water. If you need to use the facilities, you'll be using a composting toilet outside. Muza was a city girl from Chicago before relocating to Cisco. “I actually camped, I had a little tent set up. Yeah, and I was really scared, I was like totally terrified,” said Muza. But five years of living in Cisco has changed Muza. “Basically a hardened criminal at this point," Muza said. "I’m not afraid to yell at people, tell them to leave.” But don’t let that hardened exterior fool you; Muza still has a goal. She wants Cisco to be a place where people can come from all over and explore their artistic side. “It’s a really good place to stay focused on your work, because there’s not that many distractions really,” said Muza. And that’s where Hope comes in. She’s from New York. She's the only other person living in Cisco right now. “Brooklyn, and I’m here on the artist residency,” said Hope. The artist residency is something Muza and her sisters started. They let artists come out and use the space for free. In fact two of the artists a year get a 0 stipend. There's no requirement for the artists to complete anything, just use the space to create what they want. Hope has been using her time to draw. She says she wants to imprint the desert onto her brain. And she also draws sketches of the chickens. “I was only scheduled for two weeks, and then I’m just gonna stay here an extra week, and who knows, maybe I’ll never go back home,” said Hope. That’s the kind of place Muza wants to build. She wants to do it for as long as she can, but, “I hope I’ll know when I need to quit. I hope I’ll understand, if it happens.” Muza says living out there can take a toll on you. Last winter, she fell off a ladder and no one was there to help. One day, she may have to give it all up. 2910 to for the drug. Last year, the Trump Administration proposed a rule to require drug makers to add prices to their ads. But company Johnson & Johnson is doing it voluntarily. Some believe by knowing the cost, consumers can look for lower cost alternatives that could be just as effective. However, Kevin Flynn with Health Care Advocates says seeing the list price could also confuse patients. They might not take into account insurance and copays, think they have to pay the list price, and potentially avoid getting the drug at all, he says. “What you need to do as a patient is call your insurance company, say this is the name of the drug. What are my benefits? What am I going to be paying?” Flynn says. Johnson & Johnson plans to begin including pricing information for other drugs that it advertises on TV later this year. 1094

View this post on Instagram Our country is crippled and on its knees, begging to be heard and pleading for change. Where is our compassionate leader? The leader who unifies and inspires our country at our most painful time when we need it the most. The leader who steps up and takes full accountability for our country and embraces every color in it. The leader who picks our country up off its knees and says you have my word - we got this - and together, change will happen. Where are you? Because we’re all here. Maybe one day that galvanizing leader will emerge. Either way, the process to change has already begun. #normalizeequality #blacklivesmatter A post shared by therock (@therock) on Jun 3, 2020 at 7:33pm PDT 754

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After tornadoes ripped through parts of Nashville, Tennessee, a strong group of black men is taking steps to rebuild a community. “Nashville strong,” said Demetrius Short, captain of the Nashville chapter of Black Men Run – a brotherhood inspired through health and wellness that has thousands of members and dozens of chapters across the country. “Two days a week we come out and put all our stress and anxiety under our feet,” Short said. This group of African American men is helping their community from ground zero. “We want you to be to be encouraged about your educational success but also as men of color and men in general we want you to know about your health,” Short said. Short and other members of BMR go to local elementary schools to help inspire students. It's part of the group’s Black Men Run, Brown Boys Read program. The most recent lesson was all about helping these children deal with their emotions following the destruction the deadly tornadoes left behind. “Some people just don’t have anything,” said third grader Tyler Hanserd. “They don’t have electricity a roof over their heads they don’t even have a house.” Judging from the support, these sessions seem to be working well. “I love what black me run do with our boys their excited,” said Myra Taylor, the executive principal at Buena Vista Elementary School in north Nashville. Taylor says BMR gives her students strong black men to look up to. “It helps our kids release some of the anxiety,” she said. “A lot of them lost homes, they lost items, they lost clothes, but they come back and we’re all here and that matters to our kids.” That includes kids like Hanserd, whose family lost power for a week following the tornado. “People lost their lives and people don’t have shelter, they don’t have food and they don’t have water,” he said. “So, that’s not cool.” BMR leaders say mentoring youth is directly connected to fostering community awareness. “Our motto here is, ‘We don’t run through our community, we run with it,’” short said. Short added that it’s important to teach children that they don’t have to wait until they’re older to make a difference, but that they can make an impact on their communities today. “We’re teaching them about perseverance, determination, overcoming obstacles so they don’t quit on mile one they don’t quit on mile two or mile three,” he said. “They come across the finish line.”For BMR, there’s no quitting physically, emotionally or spiritually. Members are helping historic black churches by donating supplies and cleaning up the damage. “This is the devastation of the tornado that hit Nashville,” Bishop Marcus Campbell of Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist church said while pointing out damage and debris. Campbell added that BMR has helped at a higher level. “It touched my heart to see there’s still humanity that still cares for one another,” he said. “I know that we are better together and we are going to be better than what we was before the all this had taken place.”Because BMR is Nashville strong and Tennessee tough, the group is ready to run down that long road of recovery for as long as it takes. 3172
