(KGTV) - A baby python caught on video being snatched from a reptile store in Escondido has been recovered.Late Wednesday afternoon, police told 10news a break in case led them to a home in Escondido, where a woman spotted in surveillance video admitted to taking the snake and turned it over. The theft took place at LLL Reptile last Friday afternoon."Just shocking because of the way she did it," said District Mangaer Joe Alvarez.Video shows her walking around the reptile shop for about ten minutes, before something catches her eye. On the video, she's seen staring down an employee before she appears to slide open the top of a tank and grab something. Another camera shows her walking right past the checkout counter. From the final camera angle, a yellow snake is seen squirming in her purse."Looks like the snake is making one last ditch effort to get away, you see her literally grab the snake and put it in her purse before she walks out," said Alvarez.That snake is a baby yellow-colored, green tree python, about ten inches long. "A lot of guys pour their heart and soul into caring for these animals, and someone comes and just rips it out. It hurts," said Alvarez.Alvarez was concerned about the snake's welfare, because it requires high heat and humidity. The conditions are more important because of his young age, about three months old. Those worries dissipated when police stopped by the shop on Wednesday, snake in hand. Employees tell 10news the staff was "over the moon excited." Police tell 10news the woman was wanted on 5 outstanding warrants, including at least one drug-related warrant. EXETER, N.H. — A voter bared her arms, and more, after she was told she couldn't wear an anti-Trump shirt at a polling place and responded by whipping it off and doing her civic duty topless.The woman wore a "McCain Hero, Trump Zero" T-shirt at the polling place in Exeter, New Hampshire, on Tuesday's primary election.In New Hampshire, voters are not permitted to wear any "campaign material" inside a polling station. Moderator Paul Scafidi told the woman that she could not wear the shirt while voting, according to Sea Coast Online.Scafidi said the woman asked why another woman in the polling station was allowed to wear a shirt with an American flag while voting. Scafidi said he determined that an American flag shirt did not constitute as electioneering — a judgment call that he, as the moderator, is required to make.Scafidi then told Sea Coast Online that the woman asked if she should take her shirt off, even though she was wearing nothing underneath."I said, I'd rather she not," Scafidi said, according to Sea Coast Online. "But she took it off so fast, no one had time to react. So the whole place just went, 'woah,' and she walked away, and I let her vote. She could've just gone into the hallway and turned it inside-out."The woman could have faced public indecency charges, but Scafidi said he chose not to involve the police because he "didn't want to escalate the situation further." The woman put her shirt back on before she stepped out of the voting booth.According to InStyle, electioneering laws vary from state to state, but most prevent voters from wearing clothing that directly advocates for (or against) a particular candidate, party or issue while voting. (KGTV) - A local driver is warning of an unusual encounter with a dark SUV Saturday night on a North County freeway.Dashcam video captured on Interstate 15 shows an SUV with a light bar across the top. The driver tells 10News she initially thought it was a police vehicle and then spotted the back windshield, which was lit up by blue lights that resembled audio levels.Not long after, she says she heard a siren noise coming from that same SUV, as it approached a red light.MAP: Track crime in your neighborhood10News showed the video to CHP officer Jim Bettencourt who said he believes the blue light, the light bar, and siren are all vehicle code violations."If they were utilizing that to get people to move out of the way or caused a crash that would be another slew of charges," said Bettencourt.Bettencourt said because the SUV didn't have a symbol representing law enforcement, the driver wouldn't face an impersonating an officer charge. 972
