JT climbed all the way to the nosebleeds where military members were sitting and handed the ball over.He chose the military member to honor their service. His grandfather served in the Navy for 10 years.He's kept the tradition alive each and every year since.Standing outside the Gaslamp Gate, JT said, "it definitely feels a little strange... not being able to go in the park just feels weird because I have to watch it at home."While JT will be at home, others are still out spreading acts of kindness."I've been walking up to tables asking how they're doing, and I've been thanking them for being in a good mood, and thanking for smiles, because I think if you spread the kindness maybe we can... make it all better," Bravo said.Everyone hoping for positive change soon. 2135

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The family of a man who died after sky-diving in Otay Ranch created a Gofundme page for his two sons left behind.Jonas Wingen said his brother, Joe, died Sunday after suffering a medical emergency while sky diving."Deployed his chute, everything was fine... While he was descending something happened, he had a heart attack I'm not sure," said Wingen.Joe's two sons, Jo Jo and Riley, now moving to Lake Elsinore to live with their mom, while grieving the loss of their father."Jo Jo, it's hitting him hard, he's 14... Riley's handling it well," Wingen said. He said the family created a Gofundme to help ease some of the hardship and support the boys' future."Jo Jo is going to get braces... We're going to put some of it in a college fund for when they hit 18," he said.Riley created a memorial video showing how much they idolized their dad, remembering jam sessions and adventures. Wingen said Joe liked to ride dirtbikes, go surfing and play instruments."You know he worked hard and he played hard. That was Joe, and he loved his two boys," he said. "The last thing he said to me was, 'I'm going sky diving tomorrow wish me luck, woo!'"Wingen said Joe's last text he sent captured his essence: "fears lead to an average life."Wingen said their family is planning a celebration of life for August 5, which would have been Joe's birthday. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The man who was armed with a gun when he beat, choked and raped two women in 2016 on consecutive nights was sentenced Tuesday.Jeremiah Ira Williams, 26, was sentenced to 100 years to life, plus 86 year, in state prison after being convicted on May 1 of forcible rape, forcible oral copulation, burglary and making a criminal threat.Deputy District Attorney Trisha Amador told jurors that Williams followed the first victim from a parking structure to her apartment on August 13 of 2016.Jane Doe 1 was afraid when Williams asked her "Where's your husband?" as she approached her front door, the prosecutor said.Williams then knocked her down, robbed her at gunpoint and choked her, Amador said. Once inside, Williams beat the victim before raping her and forcing her to take a shower before he left.The following day, Williams beat and raped a woman working as a prostitute after meeting up with her at a motel in Grantville.Williams got on the bed and asked Jane Doe 2, "Do you want to know what it feels like to die?" He then choked the victim until "she saw stars," then raped and sodomized her, according to Amador, who said the woman was so terrified that she broke a window and jumped through it to get away.Williams’ attorney, Deputy Public Defender Thomas Bahr, told the jury that police had a feeling the two rapes were connected and jumped to conclusions.Bahr alleged that Jane Doe 2 lied throughout the investigation, arguing that her story had inconsistencies.The defense attorney alleged that Jane Doe 2 asked a detective “Can I Sue him (Williams) for beating my (expletive.)” 1616

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The County of San Diego released a 200-page report on Thursday that examines its handling of the recent Hepatitis A outbreak that infected almost 600 people and caused 20 deaths.The report details the county’s successes and what recommendations it has for the future. County officials have been criticized by some people who believe there was not enough action taken at the time.“The county seems to be more interested in its [own image] rather than solving problems,” prominent homeless advocate Michael McConnell told 10News by phone Thursday. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The Coronado Police Department released an image Monday of a vehicle that may be related to BB gun incidents in Coronado Sunday. 10news has learned five people were struck in the downtown area. Police spent the morning scouring the ground near State Street and West Broadway. An officer told 10news four people were crossing State Street late Saturday night or early Sunday evening when three of them were hit. The extent of their injuries are unknown. At the corner of L Street and Sixth Avenue in the East Village, a woman was shot in the arm early Sunday morning, according to San Diego Police. She was walking in a small group and one of the men was an exhibitor at Comic Con, staying at the Omni Hotel, where they were headed before the shooting. The early morning shooting was not the only one that occurred overnight. In National City and Paradise Hills, at least a dozen cars were hit, and in Coronado, police said at least 23 businesses, homes an cars were struck by BBs.10news brought the image of a white sedan released by Coronado Police to Roman Beck, who has worked as an accident reconstruction expert for two decades."I believe it's a 2005 to 2010 Chrysler 300 sedan.
